Just got back home, think I'm going to ache in the morning! But 100% worth it for a great weekend. 723 miles on a panigale ain't bad for an old slightly round bloke. And the Ducati never missed a beat all weekend phew!
We rode past it as part of the route, I had planned on heading over there early this morning for a few snaps but I was too lazy to get my arse out of bed lol. I'm extremely jealous of you guys with those roads on your doorstep.
Fantastic weekend, a big thanks to Si and Jen for volunteering to host this year's event up North. The roads were incredible to ride with little traffic and decent surfaces. Alan was a great lead rider, keeping us on a steady pace. Great ride, great people. Thanks all!
Wahoooo!! What a superb few days I’ve had, pit stop at Clive Wood for the RX on the way up for her to be tinkered with, in readiness for the thrashing around the North. Oh Lordy, what a ride out! Loved every single road, bend, pit stop, peoples company, the group, the leader (another riding god!). All superb. Simon, Many Many thanks for putting all that together, I know it’s stress and takes a lot of planning, so many many gongrats for laying on a superb ride. . . Ps, the weather, jees up north for 3 days, not a spot of wet stuff, sunshine, no need for winter wear, absolutely made it for all. CPSZX is still kicking himself that he doesn’t let our room intruder in, could’ve been a new experience for him hehehe Green-laning isn’t normally out bag, but what the heck, some just can’t go a ride without throwing some in, such style!! Hats off to you Roll on 2020 . . Details to follow in a few weeks when the dusts settled, and I’ve had an afternoon to clean the 8 gazillion flies from my bike.
Steve...and everyone else. Thanks for making it a great weekend. Lots of fun and some fabulous riding. It's not always grim up North. The company, craic and giggles were very welcome. The lack of breakdowns was a bonus! Roll on 2020. The seeds of another good trip have been sown... A special mention to @PyroUK who drove from Bournemouth... just to be part of this. Thanks mate. Extra special effort.
@Stu675 reminded me it was the fest last weekend.. I can hardly believe another year has flashed past so quickly... so glad you had good weather and reasonable turn out. It would have been lovely to catch up with you all, but we are still on our travels and last weekend we were in luxembourg. Wonder where the fest will be next year? Anyone fancy a trip to Europe?
Great to hear from you @treesr We had a great run out....in sunshine! No one more surprised than me . @Captain Steffydog has picked up the torch for next year. Watch this space.
Seriously, we're only just in Brittany 'til the end of the Summer so get in touch if you want to pop over.
i might be over in August some time with my son Ayrton, but most likely in the car. will be visiting the Le Mans museum and the tank museum in Saumur, and maybe Mont-Saint-Michel, but should be able to detour on the way out or back.
