Looking good I'd recommended the techspec snake skins, have them on mine. I presume by headlight trim you mean the silver pieces we sometimes refer to as eyebrows, I think yours would look better either colour coded or in carbon. I colour-coded mine crystal white with a 3-stage aerosol kit, white ground coat then crystal effect and then laquer.
Yeah that's what I was referring to. Was looking to go carbon route tbh. Might stick with the intake surround as gloss black but the eyebrows have a little more surface area. Thanks for the recommendation on the snakeskin, they look awesome.
Rear wheel on with the new rubber. Cleaned the chain and rear wheel. Little by little, nap time slot used again
Fitted a new bubble screen from puig which has a carbon look to it. And yes I did get two, I bidded on eBay for the only two that were being sold and ended up winning both fairly cheap. Discontinued and I'd say quite rare now.
They come with the resistors in the pack with the indicators and connect straight up to the indicators themselves. I did have to chop about the wiring on the bike though to fit new mini bullet connectors as opposed to the original triumph ones. Bizarrely on mine (and I don't know why) I only needed to fit the resistors to one set of the indicators, if I installed them front and back the front indicators wouldn't work . I opted for the back ones as there's more room under the Pillion seat than under the cockpit infills.
the resistor on 1 set is correct as its the circuit that needs it rather than the individual unit you could also have just used a led relay as for connectors I opted to buy some to match the bike not sure what they were off hand I actually got a link off someone on the forum they are possible molex connectors ill try find the spares I have and see if there's anything on packaging
Yeah I didn't know what the connectors were and the indicators came with bullet connectors so just opted for that. I was doing all of this in the height of lock down so didn't have the option of going and looking and a lot of shops not open. Got there in the end and all working.
Today I have fitted my recently acquired Scorpion full system and uploaded a new map using tune ECU. Sounds ace.
@Mr James Greed any tips using tune ecu and which map did you go with? I have my cable now and going to install a new map as I removed my exup and decatted it too. Needs a mapmto remove check light. Also did the bike feel any better after?
I found a good video on you tube that walked me through the process. It's all covered there. Make sure you do the 'reset adaptations' process and theres a bit at the end about how to clear the check light too. I've loaded the 'duffboy' map which is a custom tune but based on the TOR map. Havent ridden it yet as it's a trackbike.so cant take it in the road. Will be on track in a couple of weeks and will take the laptop and cable so I can try other maps if it doesnt feel right.
First time in 9 years of bike ownership, removed a set of forks, haha. leaky seals so going off for repair
As the garage roof still ain’t done and the weathers been crap I’ve moved kiara into the conservatory
The RVF has been assembled for this Saturday's TD at Anderstorp. It was great to hear the little motor singing away again
Amazing bikes, both 30 and 35. Is yours for the track and did you know that the 675 forks will slot straight in? You use the original nc30 wheels / discs but 675 calipers and custom spacers.
Looks right at home there, maybe suggest buying some cushions to compliment the colour of your bike, or would that be pushing your luck
