    Hi all

Two things I hope some of you experienced folk might be able to help with.

I recently fitted a Two brothers racing exhaust to my D675, which does sound spectacular! Trouble is I have this very annoying stutter when I open the throttle just enough to hold my speed at say 30/40mph, sounds like when you are running out of fuel, but once I pull the throttle a little bit more it clears. It really is driving me mad!

Would the cause of this be because I need to remap my bike? I've only had my D675 a month and a bit so really new to everything still. I've heard of Tune ECU but not got the confidence yet to start playing about as I could do something that causes a major drama if I do it wrong.

Also my engine light is on. Been told its the Exup valve? Read a few threads on here but still not 100% on what it is & how I go about fixing the issue so this engine light goes out! Some say to remove it?

    I really appreciate any help.

    Sam

The stutter is most likely linked to the exup.

The valve opens fully at I believe 5000 and above rpm, below that it's slightly open or closed.

You can try the 12 min idle to see if that clears it, just start the bike and leave to idle without touching the throttle. Once the fans kick in turn the bike off and back on a couple times. This normally helps unstick the valve.

If that fails best bet is to disable the exup via tuneecu and unhook the wires, the valve itself is spring loaded so will stay open. You'll lose a bit of low end torque but you won't get the light again.

Smashing! I doubt I'd actually notice the torque difference. Just gotta figure out how to use tune ecu.

You can cheat if you struggle with tuneecu and get a servo buddy. Quick search will find them on eBay, roughly 50 quid.

It plugs into where the exup motor goes and fools the system into thinking its there and working.

Don't have to disable anything then.

If yr bike is prior to year 2012 and u decide to with TuneEcu way, here's how:
-Start yr bike for TuneEcu to connect.
-Read Map, will take a while.
-After done reading, save your current map. Go to the left menu, right click and Disable EXUP. (you can save the new map with Exup disable if you want)
-Download the new map, this process is faster than reading map. TuneEcu will prompt you with some warning (bike will explode if this is done in-correctly), click "yes" to proceed. Bike will auto restart.
-After the new map loaded, turn off the bike and wait for ten second
-Turn on the bike but dont start it.
    -Go to ECU, Reset Adaptation.
-Click "Yes" for reset tps. After start the bike.
-Left it for at least 10 minutes, there will be one blue and one green arrow lid on TuneEcu.
-TPS will complete on the green box appear.
-U can now disconnect TuneEcu and turn off the bike. All done.

am yea!! so first check have a look for this[IMG]

then remover the cover, like this [IMG]
then turn the engine on and see if it rotates by the servo if not try moving by hand. if it does move, just start the bike up and let it idol up to temp from cold 3 times. if the mangement light was caused by the exup it should be clear after the 3 cycles. if the exup is broken, stuck whatever then you need to do the above disablement or removal.
