    Hi All,

    I have a mostly standard 2009 STR.

Currently, I have underseat arrow cans and a map to suit, but the cat is still in.

Would removing the cat and remapping give me a bit more oomph?

I'm not looking for huge gains, just a bit more urgency!

    Thx.

Fwiw when I removed my catalyst & re-mapped to suit the difference was imperceptible (to me anyway ).

Having said that.: In my case my bike is a Daytona not an ST, & my own limited riding ability does not demand any increased urgency above that available.

Hopefully someone else will have a more positive response to offer you mate.

You'll gain a very tiny amount, but getting a remap done will also help smooth out the fueling so you may notice a bit more there.

If you're not that bothered by top speed, maybe changing the gearing is a better option. Switching from a 525 pitch to a 520 for the lighter chain is another option you could look at.
