I'm going to be installing a slipper next week and just wanted to confirm with someone that the retaining nut is 22mm?

I already have gasket and holding tool.

    Many thanks

I remember it's really on, 100+ nm, so get ready for a struggle. I can't remember the size sorry.

I've read 22 and 32 in different places, the nut itself looks way bigger than 22 mind.

It's 30mm and 98nm, make sure you un-stake the nut before you try to undo it or you will damage the input shaft threads

Yes - all sorted now though!

What do you mean un-stake? The original nut came off no problems when i did it

When the original went on you had to tap a part of the nut to sort of lock it in

When I did mine to fit the slipper I prised the part that was tapped to allow the nut to come straight off

And when the new nut when on tapped it again

Pictured below - you can see the lip

    Thanks Steve for clarifying

The suter clutch I've put in comes with a new nut with a built in lip anyway, so thankfully I've not missed anything important
