Hi as above my Daytona has suddenly started overheating?
I was at Donnington on Wednesday waiting in pit lane, bike running and a few minutes later smoke poured from the overflow tank.
I flushed the system and checked everything all seemed ok apart from the thermostat looking well used.
So im thinking of running without a thermostat doe's anybody else run a track/race bike without a thermostat or am I overlooking a problem??
    Any help/advice appreciated tanks.

I trust you've checked that the heat exchanger hasn't failed Glyn.?
You're probably aware, but they are prone to failure (mainly on bikes running without a corrosion inhibitor eg antifreeze)

Thought you'd probably have that sussed. Sorry if it seemed a bit obvious, but it was better to have asked "just in case" IMHO.

Losing water out of the overflow?
Not holding the pressure rather than actually overheating?

Had this on 3 of my bikes now, and all fixed by replacing rad cap.
Try cleaning it up and reseating it first, but it's the cheapest and easiest thing to replace first before you get too paranoid about other things going wrong.

Yeah that's what happened didn't really think about it not getting above 6 bar before over flowing!!
Just jumped to overheating,,,makes sense it not holding pressure cheers.

Update on this..I flushed the system several times, tested and cleaned the thermostat and put new radiator cap on.
Running good now thanks for the help/suggestions.
