Hi just asking as not sure but I used my bike today as it was nice this afternoon but not to hot so after my ride putting my bike away I notice the temp gauge was at 7 bars on the dash the fan was running so I left it running to let it cool down it didn't it just stayed the same at 7 bars and fan running is this right as all other bikes I have had if you leave it running the fan will stop and it will cool down I don't like leaving it that hot as I don't want it to heat soak and kill my engine

If it's the end of the ride just flick the bike off to cool down.

If you're worried about heat, switch to Evans powercool coolant. Helps ease the pressure with not being waterbased and all that. No steam etc.

Mine still gets hot, but I figure it's the nature of the beast. Undertaiil exhaust will roast those nuts quite nicely.

Just to be clear, did you leave the engine running just so that the fan would run?
I thought the fan cut out when you switched off the ignition?

A stationary bike with the engine running isn't going to cool down, you need air flowing through the radiator. The fan on my 2010 definitely cuts out with the ignition off.

  5. My speed triple ran the fan after the ignition was off it if was hot but only for a while. Not sure about the 675.

Mine does that, not for long. But enough to cool it down, I leave it to sit for a while before covering the bike then.

Also if the engine is off, then the water pump is off so if the fan was running it would only cool the radiator, not the engine.
Makes no sense to leave the engine running to try & cool the bike

No the fan came in as I was pulling up left the bike running as I don't like switching it off with the fan running it went off with the ignition when I turned it off

Dont leave the bike running to cool off. It doesn't cool it off and it tends to cause it to just get hotter.
Our bikes get HOT and that's just how they are. I bought performance coolant to try get mine cooler and made little difference, it's still a hot beast. Just what and how it is, just gotta accept it. Doesn't seem to cause any problems except to our nuts from the heat!

I have also found my Daytona runs hot and gets even hotter when in traffic, fan often cuts in etc. I just assumed it is the way the 3 Cylinder Engine runs but I did query it with my local Triumph dealer and they pretty much echoed this but it did concern me at first when I rode the bike for the first few rides after buying it as my previous bike (GSX-R 600) ran nowhere near as hot. Having now done my first track day on it, I'd definitely say the track is where this bike is meant to be
