How hot is your bike running in this weather? Mine well over halfway BUT it is ☀️ scorchio at the minute. Mixture of M6 commute and A roads. Also got an aftermarket exhaust on, this must affect mixture ratio and make bike run lean and hotter?? EML came on on way home too ☹️ Ok on my 30mile to work, but not on way home. Running ok tho. 2013+ model.
Often womdered the same when stopped at lights etc mine goes upto about 3/4 way and fan can kick in. When driving drops to half wayish.
Seems fairly normal in traffic and hot weather. Aftermarket coolant hoses and waterless coolant will help. One other suggestion is to just ride faster
I’ve had 3 Daytona’s and my current one runs a fair bit hotter than the others did. This one will actually bubble the coolant sometimes after it’s stopped, we’ve changed the coolant and made little difference so I think fuelling could play a part, overall the bike just runs hot! Does the coolant bottle contents expand? Mine has to be just below the minimum and when hot the level is over the maximum, another thing that just varies between them
