Just in case you missed it - TT practice has started and live coverage is on right now on Manx Radio (download the TT app). Bruce Anstey also has a rather nice bike for next week... Bruce Anstey to race Honda RC213V-S at TT 2016 http://www.iomtt.com/News/2016/May/25/Anstey-RC213V-TT-2016.aspx
It's going to be very interesting how this bike does with Bruce onboard.. stroke of genius sneaking one of these bikes into the TT
Looks great. I hope it goes well... I wonder if a stiff GP rep is what you really need for the mountain course though, especially against bikes with years of evolution in them for that task? Hope I'm wrong, I don't want to see it humbled. If nothing else it will look and sound pure filth.
It's been fitted with K-Tech suspension and they know a thing or two about British racing, another clever move to tame the 200HP.
They were saying that actually it's got a longer wheelbase than the fireblade but with steeper geometry so still steers quick. The chassis stiffness may not give him the feel he wants but I imagine thy have fitted forks and yokes with as much feel built in as they can
So, did anyone on here book a sailing for 2017 then...!?!? Steam Packet Co handles 3,500 bookings for TT 2017 in just 10 hours http://www.iomtt.com/News/2016/May/31/2017-Steam-Packet-Bookings.aspx Want to try a euro Trackday in 2017 so I'll give it a miss next year (might try and make it every 3-4yrs if time/funds allow). 2015 was fantastic and I'd recommend going to anyone.
Dean Harrison showing us how to get the best surface contact to the road with his rear tyre! Average speed 124.218 mph jeez!!!
I go next Tuesday. Also booked for next year. Can't wait. I was booked for Tuesday to Tuesday this year but I'm flying home a day early to go to a funeral an then fly back on the Wednesday to pick my bike back up an sail home. Steampacket were brilliant and moved my sailing for free.
not so good for a lad i know off at kepple gate back and shoulder injuries while lying in 17th positon
Hope he fixes up soon - all these lads and ladies are brave beyond belief. Sad to hear about Paul Shoesmith and Dwight Beare, but the show must go on I suppose... Was a fantastic effort by Dunlop, scope to go even quicker maybe? At least from the bits I caught on the TT coverage last night when he seemed to be happy to "just" follow Hutchinson round. I think I touched 133 over the mountain last year, he did a few laps at that speed...
all road racers are heros in my book i know a lot dont like the car laps but credit and respact to mark higgins 126 average lap in a car WOW
better news today on the lad i know who came off at kepple gate hes still in hospital but nothing serious just observation due to high speed accident the bikes took a battering and was on hire from padgetts so a nice bill will be coming no 43 in superbike race lying 17th overall when he came off and only running superstock spec bike
