2016 is here! what have we missed?

The end of the Daytona 675? This is not a good way to start 2016! There’s been a few sites reporting insider information stating that Triumph are going to drop our triples in favour of the classic and adventure market. As we all know the sports bike market is competitive and with competition comes high overheads. That being said the 675cc engine has been the top of it’s game ever since the Daytona was launched 2006/2007.

We have our fingers crossed that the rumours are just rumours! This isn’t the first time the Daytona 675 has been rumoured to be ‘discountinued’ and lets hope it’s not the last. More information can be found here.

In other news, just a little bit late but in September 2015 Triumph announced a Jet Black variant of the Street Triple RX. I’m sure we don’t need to re-cap the synopsis of the Street Triple RX, but if you’re anything like us; a little slow on the ball here’s an extract from Triumphs web site “The highest-spec variant of our Street Triple R, its unique visual features include a razor-sharp profile and supersports bodywork, with flyscreen and belly pan as standard. The Street Triple Rx is finished with Diablo Red and Matt Aluminium Silver or Jet Black paint work, striking red wheels and fitted with a quickshifter to deliver a ride that lives up to the looks.”

It looks awesome in black, but then all Triumph 675’s look awesome!

T3 Racing’s M2-11

M2-11It feels like a long time since T3 Racing showed us an insight to a Moto2 derived project. Aimed at giving riders the experience of working with a multi adjustable ‘prototype’ chassis, whilst hoping to create a window for MOTO2 team managers to view potential UK and European rising talent.

Based on a 675cc engine the M2-11 is being designed around an affordable bike and will support affordable racing with cost control regulations.

Time passed, since the initial concept and Tony Scott (T3 Racing) revealed a computer render that was a jaw dropping design; it was very easy to see that this wasn’t just a custom 675. Everything has been re-thought of and built with racing in mind. After a conversation with Tony it was clear that the clean lines of the bike are just the tip of the iceberg. T3 Racing have an unbeatable knowledge when it comes to the Daytona 675, and they haven’t missed a trick. This is a full spec race bike which is in a league of it’s own.

M2-11
The last couple of weeks the M2-11 has found it’s way onto the race track. The first bike is complete and it’s in testing. We hope to see very soon the full specification and technical data from the testing. Knowing the knowledge and skills T3 Racing has in this environment we’re expecting this to perform well above expectations! T3 Racing will also be making a small limited run of the M2-11 for the road. “Shut up and take my money” comes to mind!

675.cc Rubber Keyrings are now available!

We created a very limited run of 675.cc keyrings. Featuring both of our mascots in durable PVC rubber. The rubber keyring is easily cleaned and shouldn’t mark your bike (yoke) when it’s being thrown around in the wind! This is a keyring no Daytona, Street Triple or 675.cc member should be without!

The keyring costs £6.50, this includes P&P world wide. Any profits will be put back into the running costs of the web site. To get hold of one, visit the following link: https://www.675.cc/news/product/675-cc-rubber-keyring

675.cc Fest 2015! – Been and gone! :-(

I would like to thank everyone for making the ride this year. It was probably one of the best 675.cc fests, it’s going to be hard to beat! We had 32 bikes attend, starting at the Triumph Factory in Hinckley and ending near Melton Mowbray. The weather passed in the morning leaving lovely dry roads in the afternoon. Nothing better than hearing many 675 triples roar through Leicestershire. For the full trip report, click here!

675.cc Fest 2015 – We’re ready, are you?

The sun will be out and the sound of triples (the odd twin and a few S1000RR’s) will be roaring through the Leicester countryside this coming weekend. Registration has been closed (if you can make it last minute please contact ‘Craig’ on the forum to see if a space is available). For those attending you can expect to receive one of these fancy packs including route/ride information, business card and a free rubber keyring.

To top it the ride has been planned by Legacey and midgey46, venturing on roads you might miss without local knowledge!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Featured 675’s!

Over the last few weeks we’ve been showcasing members Daytona’s and Street Triple’s on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/675.cc). We will be continuing with showcasing the rides but we slowly running out of pictures! Please give us permission to use your pictures here: Forum Thread

Meanwhile one of the pictures that have emerged is this wonderful design by MrAliT. We’ve seen plenty of attempts by custom paint shops place rather worrying ‘675’ logos on one-off bikes, they need to see how it’s done. We love the design and in particular how the decals look like on MrAliT’s Daytona 675. The Triumph design department need to pay attention here.

675_awesome_design

Not only the decals look sweet the spec is pretty special also! Featuring: Maxton fork internals, Quick action throttle, Venhill brake lines, SBS Carbon pads, Sprint steering damper, stripped and brushed tank, full keyless conversion and stripped loom, rearsets, Alcantara seat, SES lock stop, Titanium headers and Scorpion can with custom midpipe, R&G Crash protection, fully legit HRC rear reservoir.

Keep the pictures flowing, we love seeing how everyone has made their bike their own!

New Daytona 675 Colour?

Hawk-eye member Red675 has spotted a potential new colour for the Daytona 675. Is this a factory option or a one-off paint special by the dealer? Either way the colour appears to be like ‘marmite’, you’ll either love it or hate it. Have a look at the forum thread here.

Love it or hate it?

What’s been going on?

We have been very busy the last few days and we thing we have most bugs or problems out of the system. We’ve just established a daily back-up so in the worst case scenario we should be able to bring the site back ASAP. The new app is now live with the android version shortly to follow.

The shop is slowly coming to life and more merchandise options will be available soon. We hope one day to attract traders into our shop system offering good discounts to members. We would also like to start building our information resource soon, we’ll be offering small incentives to anyone able to assist with our content building. So watch this space!

Hopefully by now everyone is getting used to the new design, we’ve tried out best to listen to any criticism and suggestions. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas please let us know. Although non-urgent suggestions will be placed on the to-do list, we will try our best to implement it into the site in the future!

Our Facebook page has been in need of a little bit of attention recently, expect more regular updates and more content. So even when you’re not on 675.cc, you should still be able to pick up 675 goodness!
