Interesting. I think he’s worth a phone call for some advice at the very least. Thank you for the heads up.
Where about in Leicester are you? Am in Birstall if you wanted you can try and pop round on a weekend and try I’ve got tuneecu and a proper cable Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
The >13 bikes are Bluetooth only, and in this instance I think Tuneecu only provides the same Exup set up options as Dealertool which the OP has used already. @Brad675R, its a shame you couldn't get it working, but if you're so frustrated then cutting your losses and getting someone else to do it may be the best option. Still surprised though, assuming the servo (s) are working ok, which it was with the original exhaust, then even by trial and error you'd think by now you'd have stumbled on a correct setting. More surprised its not thrown up any codes as well. +1 for a good independent over a dealer every time.
I’m considering deleting the exup and putting a servo buddy on now as I’m so fed up with it. And knowing it’s likely to cause issues further down the line makes it worse. I’m just really not keen on losing any low end performance. I wonder if the more free flowing exhaust might balance out any negative effect of the servo buddy? I’ve only rode the bike once when I bought it and it was completely standard. Maybe servo buddy is my best option? In 2 minds on what to do. I spoke to triumph Tamworth this morning and they said they don’t want to get involved in it because they’re having a new workshop so are only doing basic servicing.
I know I have the cables the correct way around, what I can’t understand is why the valve closes all the way to its end stop when the bike is revved?
it does sound like its working backwards if it opens again when you shut off no real experince with the exup as i disabled mine early on after it stuck for the 2nd time in couple of months plus mine is 2011 model
I was going to suggest a servo buddy but didn't know if you were trying to retain it. I've got a scorpion can on mine so have no valve or motor fitted, all removed and servo buddy plugged in and never had any problems. Sent from my SM-G991B using 675.cc mobile app
Ideally I’d keep the exup operating as I’m a believer of it’s their for a reason and the engineers at triumph know how to set up a bike. However if it continues to cause grief I will get a servo buddy. Fingers crossed I wouldn’t notice any power loss.
Yes quite. On the flip side however, triumph also have hurdles and regs they have to jump through and achieve, exhaust and emissions being one of them. There's always room for improvement from factory Sent from my SM-G991B using 675.cc mobile app
Like I said earlier, servo buddy or alternatively Tuneecu, just untick the exup option and install the Arrow map at the same time. I didn't notice any loss in low down power when I disabled mine, I'm sure its as much about noise regs as anything. It is quite loud though, especially with the baffle removed from the Arrow.
So just to update this thread, I ended up having the exup setup and the arrow map installed whilst it was in at triumph for its annual service, and I’m pleased to say she is now running sweet! And boy does that arrow make a nice sound! I’d like to thank you all for your help and advice, and for making a newbie welcome here Brad
That's great to know you have sorted it out and to know she's gone to a great home. Enjoy and ride safe. Kevin.
