Bruised would be fair. It's actually not too bad. Broken clip on. Lots of scuffs and a few chips on the paintwork. It's a proper pride and joy bike too but the main thing is that he's ok.
If he wants flying lessons, I can help with that...lol...good to hear he's ok...hope he's learnt something....dukes aren't as good as triumphs... Sent from my iPad using 675.cc
Ouch - gws to your mate. You been riding round Uffington and the downs? Lovely spot - lived there 83-86 and still love going up the white horse hill for a hike every now and again.
He's a very lucky fella I can tell you! We'd just filled up in Great Shefford and were heading up the A338 to Wantage. Poor fella was at the back of the group so we didnt realise he was missing till we got the 6 miles into Wantage and he wasnt there when we waited at a junction. We were all laughing that he probably filled up with diesel or something! It a nasty corner as you come up a rise and its just after the brow going left. He's the steadiest rider of the lot of us too so we're all scratching our heads as to what happened although he thinks he braked which sat the bike up. He nearly made it down the road that went straight on. Still, quick check over in Basingstoke hospital and he's OK A bit to the right and he'd have hit the sign after the junction or there could easily have been a car coming the other way. Food for thought people!
That was me that passed u guys! I was on my 675r and my Mate was leading on his speed triple R. Was he okay?
Sorry just seen this! Well again, sorry to hear of this, yes it's a horrid corner, as is the one 0.5mile further on when u drop down a little dip and the corner tightens right at the end! My mates dad crashed there by panicking and braking mid corner, again very lucky to walk away as the bike hit a post and was totalled, twisted subframe, tank the lot.
Yes I did look over and we took it well steady as it does shake u up a little bit seeing it! Tbh we would have stopped and checked to make sure all was well but I could see 2-3 guys stood round and the ambulance etc. My god it was windy up on the hills!!!
White speed triple R up the Dick Turpin A127 last night. Couldn't see the rider about I would have said hello!
Yes, well I didn't get too excited about either bike's looks but I quite like the ida of not being totally paranoid about scratching it and getting out on about on it. We'll see. I need to do a few test rides.
Couple of street triples, the black with lowboy in Bakewell again (who are you? I want you're exhaust) and yesterday spotted a white one in Buxton
