Hi all i have a 2012 Daytona 675r. She struggles to rev past 8 k and will not go above 10 k. i thought it was a stuck exup valve so i have disconnected it and bought a servo buddy. The fault light has gone out but it still runs shit. Cheers George
Have you checked what position it jammed in? Could still be seized shut. Free it off with some penetrating oil and make sure it's open and the springs are holding it open. You don't really need the servo buddy, just download tuneECU and turn it off in there.
Thanks. It is open now. And i really would not have a clue how to turn it off. Even though the fault light is out on the dash will it still need clearing ?
No, as long as the servo buddy is there you are ok. Tune ECU is worth having though, easy to use and allows you to check what's wrong if you get another EML. Was the valve stuck shut?
