    Hi all
I have looked through the search pages
And just nee to clear a few things

I made a lucky escape today
One was the near slip on the road and the other was the battery failing on me

I left my bike trickle charging last night because of the train strike I had to use it the bike

Got on went to fill up and seemed fine
    Alittle sluggish on start up

After got to blackwall from lakeside and notice my dash was dimming ( first warning) when I filtered through the trafic to the light my light started to flicker ( second warning)
Then my nightmare came fuel light (third warning)

And I am sitting at the lights
So I reved up to 6g and lights brighten up got to work and dead.

    So my questions are
Have they discontinued the yt7b battery and everyone is selling old stock?

Yt9 battery would that fit in a 06?

    And last

Lithium battery what is the story with them
Can you just fit it and ride the disconnected when in storage?

    Cheers

No idea if the yt-9 will fit the 2006-08 bikes or not, but doubt it's much larger...? Someone else might know more about that than me!

Not sure if this helps save a few pennies or not, but I've got a used, but fully charged/good condition yuasa yt-9 battery that came off my bike (09 model). I had starting issue this time last year and got a motobatt instead, but was a relay, not the battery having to few amps etcetera so expensive error on my part!

Since then, my dad has been using it on his boat and it's been on the battery maintainer at his house over the winter and he doesn't need it now as he's selling the boat. I'm assuming that Yodel etc will ship it (lithium are banned) so if you want a cheap battery, PM me and I'll ship it to you for £15. Think these are £40+ new. This one was bought in 2012 for my bike.

doesn't sound like just a dead battery, I would really check out your charging circuit - alternator & Reg rec before putting a new battery in.

    Charging circuit is fine
That's what was helping me make it
People thought I was mad holding my revs up

I have a new engine to go in so I think this is the kick in the ass to do it
Just need a battery and new chain kit
Ready for track and odd sunny day
