I have seen a Daytona that has peaked my interest but, I am am quite a treck away and it's not a Triumph dealer so I am a little worried as it's nothing like anything else on there stock list It seems to be all small CC stuff mainly and the pics aren't the best on the website. I was wondering if someone is close and had 5mins spare soon if they could nip into the shop and give it a look? Just purely a quick look to see what it's like and to get a feel for the place and salesman. I can check out the mechanicals and make sure I am happy that way at a later date if the vibe is good. I would of course contribute to any beer/party/petrol fund for your trouble.
It's budget bikes in Swindon. I gave them a call and they said it's pretty clean but, does have some chips on the tank and a couple of nicks in the pillion seat, a repair to the nose under the air scoop which isn't noticeable apparently. Not to sure now as although it does have the books there are no service stamps at all and only 1 key. Seems a bit odd for a 3year old bike to not have at least 1 stamp in the book even if the others are independents. If you happen to be passing then it could be worth a look, not sure its worht a special journey. The total lack of service history makes me think it could have been a track bike from new or something. That is probably why it's quite keenly priced.
if the weather is ok at the weekend ( highly unlikely ) i will have a pootle down there and have a look for you Jimmy.
I'm near Swindon but my missus is in hospital there so not sure when I could get down. Why do others think it looks dodgy? Too cheap? It's a 2009 model year on a 2010 plate
I agree, the key yep, but you'd at least have the 500 mile service, it basically free. Does an hpi check review up the owners name? As I always say, if in doubt DON'T!
Swindon is much more faraway than stockholm , if looked from here. Long time no see, U still collect goods from UK ? Just bought an engine from there and looking for courier, cheeers timo
I've popped in there before and they specialise in "cheap" bikes. That have a bunch of bikes outside which are real dogs and the inside of the shop is so packed that you can't really see around any of the bikes. If you where spending £800 on a winter hack then the place is probably alright but as soon as you start talking real money I personally would go elsewhere!
