what were HRC thinking. that has to be the worst paint scheme of all time. another walk in the park for stoner though which kinda made up for the paint. probably wanted to run the race as fast as humanly possible so he could get off and hand the bike back. dovi had the right idea bin it after a few corners then look real dissapointed that the handle bar had broken
Shhhh dont tell me about moto2 I'm not watching it till tonight, Yeah the hondas looked pretty shit, good to see that Stoner won't let Jorge defend his title not a fan of either if them really but think stoner deserves a run of good luck after the last few years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When I first saw it I thought it looked like the numbers had been made by a 3 year old with some gaffer tape but it's growing on me now. I don't think it looks that bad and it certainly is different.
I have to say the commentary on the Moto GP race was spot on form as always my favourite bit was when Simonchelli (side show bob) was closing up on Spies and they said "Here comes Simonchelli brace yourself!" what happened with Rossi though I never found out if it was a rear tyre problem that caused him to drop off the pace?
The MOTO 2 was absolute quality and as per usual the “main event” was an absolute snooze-fest. Really struggling to motivate myself to watch it these days, especially with the quality in the MOTO2, BSB, WSBK. Almost seems a pointless exercise. Even the qualifying is boring as batshit. Time for Superpole or that shite they do in F1 me thinks. Liven these fuckers up a bit. Bradley Smith signed a 3 year deal with Tech 3 this morning. 2012 = MOTO 2 and then 2 years in MOTO GP. Did alright yesterday but still going to have to up his game.
I'm still sticking by my Rossi wont win another gp whilst hes on the ducati. I had a thought yesterday after seeing some comments by rossi fans on other sites. I know he inspires all most god like praise from his devoted fans. A huge section of them will always slate everything else, some were saying Stoner's title will be devalued as Rossi isn't on a competitive bike !! Bullshit Anyway my point is what will all these people do when he retires ? When they have nobody to fervently cheer on, defend etc, will they simply stop watching ? I cant wait to see Bradl, Marquez, Crazy Joe, Scott Redding and Bradley in MotoGP. Maybe thats what they need to liven it up. I'm going to the bookies to put £20 on Marquez winning more titles than Rossi. The kid is terrifying
I hated the paint jobs. Loved Moto2 and MotoGP was another boring race after lap 5. I agree with Stuart, no way will Rossi win on a Ducati unless its a WSB one!
I watched it as well - premier(?) race was a disappointment as always, but that Moto2 race! Woohoo! - I'll take that over the 1000cc bikes next year, but did anyone else think there was a "Stop Marquez" thing going on there with the other riders? I'll agree with Stu that Marquez is a real talent, but if he's that good how come he got 2012 parts for yesterday and all the rest will maybe get them after Motegi and a lot of complaining? Something smells there I think.... Rossi has been a shot in arm for motogp and I think a lot of peeps support him in the same way that a whole lot of semi-interested types support Man Utd - he's a flame to their sad little moths. Those Rossi-Philes remind me of the crowd in "Life of Brian" - He's the Messiah! - No he's not, he just a talented bloke who has enjoyed racing and isn't a boring arse like Pedrobot et al. When he's gone they'll all get bored and go home.
I have to say that makes so much sense Rossi is a talented rider no doubt but like I said in another thread Stoner's overtake in Laguna Seca had pure balls of steel written all over it. It's like F1 when Schuey retired they said it would be boring not half as boring it turned out as it was watching him win the title year after year. Just like Man Utd, Ferrari attracted plastic fans as does Rossi at the end of the day it's all about seeing competitive racing don't get me wrong I'd rather watch Button take Vettel to the cleaners each week but it would soon grow tiresome you need that variety and fast paced action packed adrenaline fuelled races that's what makes Motorsport so epic. As for motogp next year who knows I think there are some fresh new talents coming through the ranks and I'd like to see Cal Crutchlow do better next year hopefully he will as I think he proved he can hold his own even against the alleged might of the doctor yesterday.
