I was going to go up the Ponderosa (Horsehoe Pass, Llangollen, north Wales, for those who don't know where it is) with the SV peeps but they decided it would be too icy and too snowy. So, I decided on a ride down through south Shropshire. I went down the A49 from Shrewsbury but decided to turn off at Church Stretton cos the sun was so low - usual problem of riding south and west in winter, you get blinded. So I turned off on the road over Wenlock Edge to Much Wenlock, and then back via Buildwas and Ironbridge. Nice ride, only it was cold despite several layers and two fleeces. And get this, I didn't see a single other bike. Nope, not one. Where was everyone? __________________
Edski - You are either very brave or very mad. Still got 11 inches of snow in my drive. The Badboy will be remaining in hibernation for some time - Well done you BTW. Chitter Chitter
its far too cold for bikes yet, mines away til march at least. Oh and after eating for 2 days solid i might not get my leathers on
Good on ya Ed, was supposed to be going on the SLAM annual wrinkly sack ride today, but i reckon too much salt on the roads, even if i could have got my bike out of the street i live on. Packed snow got rained on overnight and froze. It looks just like an ice rink. I couldnt even walk on it lol. d8mok, I may have exactly the same problem lol
Ed, you crazy loon :shoocked: Couldn't even get into the back garden at ours, due to a 2 foot snow drift!!! Morpheus is tucked up in the garage, next to a radiator and under his cover You are dedicated, I'll give you that... And a PROPER biker d8mok - I second that emotion!
The old and the new. This was on the way home - my bike this afternoon at the Roman ruins at Wroxeter, a few miles east of Shrewsbury.
if id had known you were just going local i would have come after all , still i got him out & gave hime a dam good clean ready for next time
