OK where to begin on this one as I'm sure many of you are going to agree with me here but why oh fucking why do BT Sport exist?

I mean for fuck sake at least employ people who know about bikes if you going to be greedy and bid up for exclusive rights to every single fucking race, qualifying session, practice session, mark marquez growing his first pube session and bum buddy tips from Rossi sessions! It's fucking outrageous that they were allowed to do that when you full well know that at least £10 of the extortionate £15 they are charging to watch their useless ball breathing duck fucking channel will be lining the pockets of Faggot Arse fucking Shrek Look alike arseholes like Wayne Rooney who is so fucking ugly he looks like he was hit in face with a shovel repeatedly as a baby. I don't give a shit about fucking Football it is the most fucking useless pathetic fucking girly sport on the planet and somehow these fucking fairy boney useless faggots are idolised by millions how exactly? So why on earth would I subscribe to a channel that shows faggotball for 12 months a year when motogp is only on for around what 8 months a year? Not only that but its not like they even offered you a season pass so you could only watch the motogp I wouldn't mind.

Then it gets worse I used to look forward to the MCN fantasy Road Race every year have a bit of giggle across all three series trying to pick the best riders then fucking bastard arsehole shitface fuck nugget dick shriveling BT Sport have to fucking ruin that as well. Now you can only select MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 I don't give a fuck about Moto2 and Moto3 I wanted MotoGP, BSB and WSBK riders so that I could enjoy backing riders across the series I couldn't give a monkeys f'in testicle about Moto2 and Moto3 sure they put on some good races but hardly any brits in them so whats the fucking point?

BT Sport can fuck off and die as far as I'm concerned oh and fucking genius idea employing Mel Sykes who not only is way passed a her sell by date that she grows the same fur as gone off yoghurts do but she has also admitted plainly to the press that she knows absolutely FUCK ALL about Bikes!!! Wow fucking amazing decision there you fucking idiocincratic fucktards you fucking morons couldn't hit water if you fell out of a fucking boat. Suzy Taylor would have been the obvious choice but then really the obvious choice would have been to stick with Eurosport or the BBC who fielded much better coverage than those fucktards are remotely capable of.

Does anybody know anybody at BT Sport who is high up so I can call them up and give them absolute pure shit for the whole afternoon?

We're not talking livid here we're talking HULK....

more than welcome mate - i put a thread up on here but dont think anyone was interested

  5. WIth all due respect Gank this is a fucking stupid rant.

When you see what the coverage is going to be like its easily worth paying for it. Have you seen the number of MOtoGP films on this month? Multiscreen during races, on demand etc its fucking EPIC!

And Mel Sykes is there to present links no more no less. The fact is she is a VERY GOOD TV presenter. The other people employed by BT will give you insight. As for knowing fuck all about bikes her son is called Valentino and her cousin is pretty handy on a WSBK!

You've probably read the abuse shes been getting on twitter from bike racing 'fans' and her reply that she was bitched at much less in the modelling world. Not aimed at you personally but bike fans collectively are a bunch of fucking whiners.

And before anyone else with sand in their vagina starts fucking moaning about BT broadband speed i get 4.2 mb on a good day and can still manage to watch online.

  6. Lets have a fucking row then eh Nick ;)

When BT announced they has signed exclusive coverage i thought it was going to be a good thing for the sport. A company interested in making it a show and interesting trying to broadcast it out, for BBC, IMO it had just been a programme that filmed a tv spot. What Sky have done for F1 has been brilliant making the coverage interesting, decent and good follow up... who would not want the same for MotoGP?

I like BT as they show some decent sport with good coverage of Rugby and the UFC so I dont mind paying for it. I just think (after dealing with the industry on the whole) the bike market are bloody tight and won't spend £3 to watch the motogp in general which was always going to cause a fuss

Personally I was all for BT sport taking it over until they released who would be doing the coverage... Mel sykes fuck off... julian ryder is passed it and can fuck off as well. 2 wheeled sports has been dying on its arse over the past decade and needs new people with passion and interest to spark more people into the sport

  7. So much agree'd!

  8. It's the first year the lineup can and will change over time.

Mel Sykes will simply pass viewers from comms to Toseland to Hodgson. She's there to welcome viewers and tell them what they are about to see.

Personally I would rather have seen Steve Day doing comms and Jeremy McWilliams in the studio.

It's produced by North One who do the TT and most of the Guy Martin series. The coverage is going to be superb.

It doesn't matter whether we like it or not but all sports are going to pay tv just like in Spain and Italy and what you can be guaranteed is more bang for your buck.

I don't agree with you exactly what part of the coverage deal is epic exactly? The fact that last year I got to watch an entire weekend of MotoGP for free and yet this year I must pay for that privilege? Toby Moody and Jules were great presenters and the BBC mob did a good job of it too.

When Sky took over F1 at least the BBC still had some coverage rights too it and being as I was already an HD customer the F1 came at no extra cost to me and their coverage is epic. My point is why should I have to fucking fork out more money to some bullshit organisation who fuck things up at a regular occurrence. I will take you to task on this one as I am a 3rd Line IT Engineer and have been for the last 12 years and I can tell you now the quality of BT's lines is shit and they service is even worse. The amount of times I have had to wait for some dumbass from BT Open Reach to pull their thumb out of their arsehole because they have the regular can't be arsed attitude when it comes to fixing problems that they regularly cause when fannying around in exchanges without taking proper care to trace cables properly before cutting them. They did the same damn thing at the olympic games started cutting hard line and fibre cables to the venues before the paraolympics had even finished. BT aren't good they're shit however they are who every other ISP has to lease their lines from so regardless of who you're with at some point you have to deal with the useless idiots.

It's not a useless rant at all I am aggrieved because I am fed up with constantly having to put my hand in my pocket for something when at the end of the day they could've provided the coverage FOC just like the BBC did or charged a small one off fee as Sky did to sign up to their channel for the year not all this PPV bullshit.

  10. I understand completely about having to pay as I begrudge paying too.Do you have BT broadband? It's free online and on app with it. I just airplay it via a raspberry pi to my tv.

I know how bad open reach are but all bbc suppliers I have had are equally shit as each other.

The problem is we are all going to have to get used to paying for what we want to see. Remember the BBC was still paid for £145 for license fee.

  11. To clarify I mean the coverage is epic not the coverage deal. The actual content being produced and the race weekend coverage is looking like it will be better than sky's f1 coverage.

And i for one am happy to see a big British company sticking money into bike racing.

Wonder who will sponsor Suzuki when Alex Lowes lands there in a few years?

That's a valid point dude I agree nothing in life is really free. To be honest even though I work in an industry that is constantly changing and I am forever upgrading infrastructure to further the capabilities of the company that I work for I do get a ball ache when things change with little or no explanation.

Did Dorna or anybody actually say why it had to go to BT sport exclusively? I know when the F1 went from BBC to ITV I kicked up a right stink then and even phoned up ITV to complain about them screening adverts during the race only to be told it was a commercial channel so tough shit (think I was about 9 or 10 at the time lol.)

I have Sky FO and I have to say it's just epic I have zero carrier interruptions and the line has been in for 7 months now and I always get the figures promised no matter the time of day. Although to be honest all this East Coast logs on the world slows down bullshit is pretty much out dated now the whole world doesn't run on PPTP connections anymore and ISDN is burst transmission not a constant connection like FO so you will always get a degree of lag no matter who your ISP is. Broadband generally nowadays all depends on how effect your ISP is at routing the outbound traffic and the TTL for external DNS for the websites you access the more hops your packets have to make on route to where they are going the longer it will take hence the slower the speed...

I wouldn't change my ISP now I like Sky and keeping everything under one umbrella suits me I will for go watching the MotoGP this year because I just out right refuse to fund a channel that is relatively new and for me is yet to prove itself as a decent coverage provider. At least when F1 went to Sky I could watch it on either channel to see which one I preferred and now I watch it on Sky all the time because the coverage is just simply miles better.

Perhaps BT sport will get there one day and when they do I will tip my hat to them but until they do my wallet stays firmly in my pocket...

  13. Do you have a family member or friend who has BT BB?

Ask them for their login and download the app use their details and BINGO!

I'm with BT and have their sports channels, mind you one of them is ESPN so it isn't really theirs, however it'll be a cold day in hell before I give that rapacious lying cheating bastard Murdoch a single penny of my money, so I welcome anything that challenges him and his virtual monopoly. Don't forget that with only one supplier of sports channels the price was only going to go one way, at least with two we have some competition and may see prices stabilised or even reduced (unlikely but possible). Let's see how this first year goes for BT, then judge.

  15. There are essentially two strands to the fury. One is the having to pay aspect and the other is change of content/talent.

I turned down a permanent job there as I didn't want to relocate back to London after upping sticks to Manchester with BBC.
Dream job yes but god the earache from friends when I told them I'd been offered it. Not a well done mate in sight just straight into full hulk and I'm not paying this and that.

I'm a minority amongst my friends in thinking that a lot of Eurosport coverage was piffle. Two old chaps waffling on over the world feed, essentially dead air to me. I want features and insight not "I was taking to Kenny Roberts Sr in hospitality last night"

Agree with you Dave I have no doubt been too hasty in my usual hot headed fashion I had stayed quiet about it until the MCN road race fantasy league thing but that really made my piss boil. I don't mind Sky bottom line is if wasn't them somebody else would do it the way of the world these days everything comes at a premium bottom line is if you enjoy your motorbike nothing else really matters...

BDTD - unfortunately I don't buddy but given you are an avid fan happy to pay you in beer for any race reports that you provide me on here?

I agree with you there mate a valid point I too am more interested in the features like why was the yamaha .whatever off the pace rather than who ate what at breakfast this morning I would far rather know who is going to have an advantage going into the next race than who is going to have the shits the next morning.

  18. What you need to realise is Dorna is a business, they sell their product (MotoGP) to the people who will give them the most value. BT in this case, BT being a business then re-sell this product onto people who want to buy it.

It really is as simple as that. We are buying entertainment in the same way as we pay to go and see a film.

Thinking of it in any other way is naive !!

I am far from naive believe me. However you will note that in the concord agreement in F1 it directly stipulates that a certain proportion of the races must remain on a FTB channel e.g. people don't have to pay anything other than the cost of their TV license to watch it. Is it really too much to ask that Dorna do the same thing?

  20. A big thing about concord though Gank is F1s group companies are British based (Jersey) whereas Motogp/Dorna is Spain. If it were British then chances are they would have had something similar in place.

Dorna have an office in Surbiton by the way!
