A teenager riding his ped, is filtering along the outside of the stationary traffic and gets hit by a car pulling out of a drive across the road between the cars.

The driver is a woman and I had to contact her for her insurance details etc (Plod wanted us to pay them for the details as part of the Met police bike accident victimisation procedure, and wait weeks to get hold of them, but thats another story).

According to the other witnesses she pulls out of her driveway, at speed, through a gap in the traffic and hits the ped in the side. Front of car hits riders leg and rear wheel. Ambulance called but young lad is not too badly injured. Luckily nothing coming the other way at the time as he ended up across the road.

When I speak to her and ask for her insurance details she said "Why do you want mine he caused the accident ... he was doing 40 or 50 mph along that road" (Difficult on a restricted 50cc and two other witnesses said he was going quite slowly..)

She then went on to say "Just as I was pulling out he came from nowhere, I couldn't see him as I was looking for traffic coming the other way. After he hit my car he just lay in the road. Then he was joking with the ambulance-man, I had my kid in the car he could have been hurt"

All I could think to say was "I think you should tell your insurance company exactly what you told me, I am sure they will take care of it for you,"

Unbelievable that not only is this retard breeding but she has a driving licence.

thats unbelivable and so unfair on the rider i think moped riders are at a disadvantage when on a provisional liscense when it comes to claims. On my 50 i had a head on with a car (woman driver) in the wet i came around a corner she was overtaking a parked car on her side of the road and was fully in my lane. i had little chance in stopping in the distance between us and it being wet didnt help. she seemed nice at the time absolutly stunning iswel and took me to her house untill my bike was recovered (snapped forks) i had many compensation ideas going through my head at this time none involving insurance companys!!i then hear from insurance that she tried to blame me because she had stopped (still fully in my lane) and my bike hit her car.

anyway after me rambling on best i got out of it was a 50 50 settlement quite unfair i felt but the legal team said thats about the best your going to get so i went with it.

sorry for the massive rant i feel better now

I posted this because I was reminded of it today when the young lad rang me to say he got his kit replaced, bike paid for and compensation. her insurers paid up 100%.

He is 17 now, so he is spending every penny on a sports 125, and the insurance :D :D :D

this is the trouble with people these days, no-one accepts responsibility for there stupidity!

I had an accident years ago when i was learning when a car indicated to pull over only to turn right as i went to pass her... thankfully the car behind me saw everything and gave me details in case the woman decided to deny it. (she had a paper on the passenger seat which i think had directions on)

2nd time I was going straight on at some traffic lights and as i was 3/4 across the road one of those cheap chinese crap cruiser bikes for reasons only known to her thought she could ride straight through my bike to turn to my left and then started telling me i'd been indicating left.

I know women don't like me but really, do they all have to try and kill me whenever they get an opportunity? :(

  7. That is unbelievable I bet she was driving an Audi as well honestly I am getting a little short tempered with these bellends in their tin cans I know it was my fault I low sided on Monday but I still think that cock in the free lander was too close to me and him moving around behind me didn't help. If there hadn't been another car behind him I probably would have kicked the shit out of him and then foxtrot oscared.

I learnt at 16yrs & 1 month what a bunch of inept lying cnuts most of the car drivers are. Always always always get the names and addresses of witnesses - professional drivers are best. I got stung the first time but every time after that I've had them by the bollocks and the throat, and they've always paid for being f*ckwits AND I've pushed for prosecution wherever possible. Wake up or pay up.

Mrs Gee witnessed a ped prang the other day so she just stopped the car in the middle of the road, got names and addresses and made sure the lad was ok, plus half the guys at the tyre factors the woman driver had just pulled out of saw it happen too. She was seriously f*cked off that every one took sides with the young lad. Reaction about the same as the woman in Dino's o.p. Stupid witless bitch.

  9. We've got one going through a moment for a client. On main a road indicating to turn right into side road, just about to turn and twat in Alfa Romeo decides to overtake the line of cars now slowing down behind our client. He drives into offside front of our clients vehicle, police and ambulance called. Our client takes excellent photos, yet the little prick is now claiming that our client is at fault as he should have checked before making the turn. Pictures clearly how our clients vehicle on correct side of road an Alfa in ditch on wrong side. Thankfully we have witnesses and police report, but why can't the little prick accept that he ignored the road signs and neve questioned why the cars in front were slowing down
