Good if you do lots of miles commuting etc, but not really necessary for most people with sportbikes. Might make a bit of mess too but i've never tried one myself.
Is it the one that you have to remember to turn off evertytime you leave the bike?. I would soon have oil all over the garage floor.
Got it this time. Ta. I've got a Scottoiler with single outlet on mine but not sure if it does the job any better than I could. I have just noticed that the outside of the chain is showing small rust patches. I have mine set to minimum output though, so perhaps I just need to turn it up a bit more!!
Yes I can do, think they are about £24. I don't know whether to bother or not. I know Ed swears by his, but I can't remember if it's because it does a good job or because he can't be bothered to do it himself!! I think I'll have a fiddle with it first.
i was told by a local triumph garage that the scott oiler can cause the ecu to trip the warning light as the fueling is regulated by the vacume system on the bike or summin. have you had any probs with this on your system, or is this just duff info?
My previous m/c was a Speed Triple, and I rode to various european (Netherlands/Germany/Denmark) rallies on it. Although it was fitted with a Scottoiler (and fuel-injected), the light never came on once!
Well the kit has arrived this morning so I will need to try and fit it at some point. I also need to get some oil 4 it too. Any recomendations?
I have had a scottoiler e-system fitted on mine and I am finding it lubes the chain really well, mind you only had 1 week trial before I got stuck in Venice for 6 bloody days!!!!!!
