Clutch plates and Radiator replacement

Discussion in 'Maintenance & Tweaks' started by BenGrrr, Jun 2, 2015.

  1. Just looked in at the Haynes manual as I need to change the clutch plates and Radiator.

    Radiator seem simple enough.

Question on the plates though is can I just replace them with a new set or do I have to overhaul or change anything else on the clutch system at the same time. Reason I ask is the manual doesn't just talk about plates but the whole clutch.

What do I need to look out / be mindful for?

    Cheers.

  2. You can just replace the plates, clutch cover off, internal spring loaded cover off. Soak new friction plates in your oil for 24 hrs (ish) and then refit. Bear in mind torque figures, spring loaded bolts in the clutch are low figures, 6-7NM from memory

  3. Perfect thanks buddy
