I need a set of fork seals for my Daytona it's on a 10 plate, not sure if they are different to the earlier models. Just wondering who does good quality seals or if the dealer is the best bet. Also what oil do any of you guys prefer. I am around 11 and a half stone with all my gear on. It will be mostly used on the road but it will be doing track day's aswell. Any help would be appriciated.

    Thanks.

  2. I have used aftermarket but tbh it's not worth it; get genuine triumph ones mate. Maybe drop the oil weight and buy a set of slightly softer springs? I am 14 stone kitted and apparently the standard springs are 'about right' for my weight, would need to change the rear spring ideally though also.

I've changed loads of seals over the years and will only use genuine. Not worth buying cheap ones

  4. Just out of interest Chris, is it much of a job change fork seals? ie: diy?

It's easy enough mate if you have the tools.
Tbh it will probably be quicker and easier to take fork legs out and get someone else to do them.

  6. That's what I've done in the past just wondered if it was an easy job :)

It's not difficult. If you get the wrong oil quantity in it will ruin the ride. No harm in trying. You don't learn if you don't try
