Disable EXUP using TuneECU?

    Has anyone disabled their EXUP using TuneECU by setting all of the position settings to 100 (instead of the values in the pic below?)

    Will this have any adverse effect (I kind of assume not as it is ok to remove it all together!)

    All thoughts welcomed!

    See that little box at the bottom of the page on the left called Exhaust Valve?
    Uncheck it. Job done.
     
  3. Siw that will disable the exup alltogether??

    Will it affect performance at all?

    Yes...it will improve a little bit...not much, to be sure - the EXUP is only there for noise regs. and other stupid tree-hugging-type stuff

    As I stated in another thread. I think. Remove the Exup motor and cables completely, lock wire the valve in the open position and disable the Exup in Tuneboy/Tunedit/Tunecu and gain more midrange power.

    by ticking that box does it mean if the valve is still connected up to the motor etc . it will no longer open or can i do what dave said and set them all to 100 and it will stay open?

    just curious befor i go taking more bits off! lol
