Just been to fill up my car, £1.15 per litre That's criminal, next they'll be a fuel shortage due to the snow and we'll see £1.50 plus I bet. How much is it where you are?
i went up tuesday and it was £1.10 at the shell and £1.12 at the bp, but i bet its gone up since then will find out later.....
I think the government are filling their pockets ready for all the extra money that they are going to have to spend on the roads - I don’t know about you guys but the cold snap has generated some serious cracks and potholes on the roads I travel…
Yes roads round us are terrible. SOme really deep potholes that would kill some biker if hit and the council say they havent got any money to fix them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Problem round here is the way the 'fix' the roads - I call it 'splash & dash' They turn up, pour some hot tar on the bad bit, sprinkle over some gravel, then let the cars work the gravel in over a few days  All it achieves is gravel-filled ruts, lines of un-stuck gravel for us bikers to get jiggy on and a few weeks later, the tar cracks and it's back to square one :whaa: Check this out it's up over the Jackson Heights Road, towards Blackburn
yeah out roads were like swiss cheese from last years snow, they only re-done the road surfacing in places about two months ago and now its even worse!!! you could keep fish in some of the ones round our way they are so deep and full of water... i also read in the mail last week about a chap on his bike, his rear wheel hit and fell in large pot hole causing his to crash into an oncoming car, broke his arm, fractured some ribs the whole shabang, the cops that turned up and blamed him! they sent him to court to pay a £5000 fine!!! thank god he had some witnesses that said otherwise and the road traffic incident people said that it couldn't have been his fault because there was a tyre skid coming out of the pot hole..... f*cking pigs scrounging for bonuses!!
Wrote to the council when it was first like this - that's when they sent up the 'Splash & Dash' brigade :toss: This is it again several months AFTER they fixed it
I only paid 54 pence a litre yesterday! ...and I thought that was expensive!! *runs from incoming artillery barrage*
if you go to www.petrolprices.com and set up an account they email you with the lowest priced fuel in your area.
There is a lot of that going on - I used my Satnav to find a petrol station when in Glasgow last, and it took me to 3 which were no longer there! just a big slab of concrete
they cant compete with the big superstores...weve had about 5 shut down in plymouth, 2 are now polish car washes....not a bad thing though, they do a good job and theyre cheap, 15 quid for a full wash and valet
That reminds me of something one of the pupils said at work. Scene: Cleaners had been mopping and polishing the floor, they left a sign; CAUTION WET POLISH One of my year 10 pupils came into the room and said "Sir, where are the wet Polish people"
