Sad to say that Britain's biggest bike dealer, George White Motors, has ceased trading this morning. Full story on the site in a second.

There is no margin in cheap, sadly you got to sell tons to make a profit, no profit= no business, its a shame.

Yep, miserable. I never cease to be saddened by the number of businesses going bust, all those people out of work.

  11. I often get to wondering how many of these places stay in business. Not only is their stuff cheap but they just don't seem to be able to shift old stock.

I saw a stand at the nec show selling the astars tech 1 r suit I'd thought of getting last year at HG for £900. It was £700 at the NEC then same stand at Manc show £550.
The RST leathers looked about 10 years old.

Apparantly gone into Administration today. Guess the recession is starting to bite now. Just noticed I was a bit late with the news there!

Hope none of you ordered anything from George White - they've gone bankrupt!!
Shocking to hear that such a big company is having such hard times.
First sign of the goverments attempts to make life impossible for bikers actually resulting in less bikers so bike companies suffering?
