Got a call this morning from a friend who's just done his CBT and is riding an Aprilia RS125 (memories).

So we decide to go for a ride today.
My bike is in a friends garage. So I grab my battery (out my kitchen) get suited an booted. I jump on his RS125 with him on the back and ride over to my friends house.

Get there all excited, first ride of the season. Fit the battery, and its dead!!!

Gutted, it had been charged, so I lent another friend my charger and left my battery in the kitchen.

So we rode home and I got undressed again.

Note to self, leave battery on Optimate untill its ride time!

Shame to hear this. Tomorrow is supposed to be a good day and I'll be doing my damnest to get out for a ride before the weather changes.

  6. After being housebound with the flu all week, I got out on the bike for a short ride yesterday, but only to get a few bits and bobs from the shops. I was hoping for more of a pleasure ride today, the weather has been great. I went out into the garage, tried to wheel the bike out and it felt like the brakes were seized. I looked at the rear wheel - the tyre was as flat as I've been feeling all week. There's a tiny hole almost on the edge of the tread - so looks like I'll be splashing out for a new tyre before my next ride. The really annoying part is that the tyre only has 1400 miles on it, and as most of those were running in miles, there was plenty of life left in it.

    :( :( :(

Well I got my Maximiser back. Put my battery on, and within 30 seconds it went into "maintain"

Hoping its not a knackered battery, or something more sinister!

  9. Went over Rockingham yesterday to watch some of the track day and went out for a ride from P'boro through to Uppingham, Market Harborough and back to P'boro via corby. About 80 miles but only saw 1 other 675

  10. Was out with Jasonthemonkey and his mate Scott(who has yet to sign up here I believe  ) for a few hours yesterday morning. Bacon buttie and a brew at Stratstone Triumph in Leicester then out and about getting shown some very nice roads around Melton Mowbray/Rutland area. Well impressed. Good morning I hope to do again soon.
