My Daytona 675 07 plate has an engine warning light on, I have lost engine temp gauge and speedo. All fluids seem ok anI gave checked the fuses. Any advice?
Charging issue? When running use a voltmeter across the battery and see what you are getting, high 13v readings would indicate charging correctly, if u Rev it and the voltage drops off or goes higher than 15v it could well be that your Reg/Rec is fried in the +15v scenario or your stator (the alternator) has broken down in the sub 12v scenario. The other thing that happens quite often is stuck exhaust valves causing an engine light but if u have lost speedo my guess is under voltage to the clocks. Do the 'self test' when u turn the ignition on okay?
Hi and welcome, sorry to hear you have problems. Do you routinely switch the bike off with the kill switch? This can fry the ECU on earlier bikes and cause these kinds of issues. I believe there was a recall for this on certain VIN numbers, can't remember which ones off the top of my head.
Both of the above posts cover the most likely suspects IMHO. Has your bike had the Triumph R&R upgrade recall done Ash675.? P.S. Welcome to our friendly little forum, have you had your 675 for very long.?
It had the recall 2 months back. Had her 5 months and love it. I will check the battery in the morning but I do keep my eye on it since the recall and I have no drama. I never use the kill switch but that said my mate has found it funny on 2 occasions to flip it when I'm in the city at the lights. Confused!?!
