just a post to say hi to you all, I do not own a daytona 675 as of yet but hopfully won't be to long away currently riding a yamaha YZF-R125 nice looking bike but to slow. Booked in for DAS module 1 on the 29th june I will be hopefully buying a 2009-2010 model from the dealers and just wanted to know what type of deal did you guys and gal's get when purchasing the bike from the main dealers ect Richie
hi richie and welcome in dude! i got mine 6months old with 3300 miles on the clock for £5500 i wouldn't buy out the box as there is such a loss of money in it and plus you have to brake the damn thing in! i just don't have the patience!
Welcome to the forum mate!! Whereabouts in the midlands are you? They wouldn't knock any money off mine as it was an SE2 so I got money off some accesories and fitting and also some free services. Have been into your local dealer and had a chat to them yet?
Thanks for all the nice welcome's, i,m from droitwich near worcestershire planning on going to the main dealers this saturday looking to part ex my bike Has the 675 a fitted alarm and Imobiliser also anyone know of a good insurance company to use
Ahh I know over that way a bit, got a few friends in that direction. It doesnt come with an alarm/imob as standard but it is an option! As for insurance mate I'd shop around for the best deal!
Welcome fella....try M.C.E for insurance or use compare the meerkat .com... get a quote as it might be very high if you just passed test especially if you looking at such a new bike...No alarm or immob but can get a datatool system 4 fitted for £350...good luck with the tests...
Welcome to the forum. I would recomend that you pass your test 1st then test ride a few different bikes 1st or at least the Daytona. I bought my bike from new from performance Triumph in Cheltenham speak to Chris Busey from there as he will be able to help you out. They also have a few 2nd hand daytona's.
Welcome mate, you'll be making a good choice with the bike! If you really want to get straight on a 675 after your test I'd recommend you whatever extra training you can before buying; Bikesafe, Enhanced Rider Scheme etc etc. It's a big step up going from a 125 rice burner to the best bike in it's class......in my opinion
Cheers guy's, great comments. Hi 675stu that's where i'm heading to on sat, could i be cheeky and ask what type of deal you got buying new as it's always good to know the dealers limits ?
Welcome, Performance Direct seem to do a good job. I am 26 with a 2010 Street Triple R and 1 Years No claims and they quoted £288.
Welcome from another new member. Got my new 675 Daytona last week from Webbs in Peterborough. Service was excellent, test ride provided etc. Superb part ex offer for my zx6r. Insurance wise I go via Bikesure (Adrian Flux near Kings Lynn). I am nearly 40 so considered an old cogger for insurance purposes so price was under £300 comprehensive with only a years NCD. Go on MCN Compare.
