How much are you willing to pay for your bike/car insurance?

  1. Exactly pal, exactly! Lol

  2. I paid just over £600 for my 1098S with 1 year NCB and about £700 for the car with 4 year NCB, but the latter I split with my girlfriend. This is around my current limit what I'm prepared to pay. But it all depends on the value of the vehicles... if I could afford £80k Aston Martin I probably wouldn't mind paying £2k for insurance.

I must be getting old! I just buy whatever vehicle I fancy/can afford and the cost of insurance doesn't come in to the thought process. Bike is about £150 fully comp and fairly high value/performance car is only £190 which I was quite surprised with.

  4. I'm worried about next year when the non gender bias ruling comes into play. I pay about £400 fully comp for my new bike, (3 years no claim) and £1000 fully comp for my car (1 year no claim). I think I could be effected on the bike quite a bit next year. Will just have to wait and see.

  5. 24 years old, currently pay £530 TPFT on my Ford Mondeo 1.8P LX (3 YRS NCB) and £570 TPFT on my STR (NO NCB). Next year looking at using the base as my address as i'm always here so Mondeo will be £300 FC and the bike will be around £220 TPFT.... Not bad

I was paying 2500 fully comp on my car the first year I had it, was 18 with a kitcar, was expecting the same for the daytona, but can only get third party for about a grand (no longer 18 either) grudge every penny but unfortunately its a necessary evil :(

  7. I must have paid a fortune in car insurance over the last 20 yrs, the last and most expensive being £1400 for a BMW Z4M, so i was pleasantly suprised when i past my test a few years ago that i can get bike insurance relatively cheap. Only £130 this year on the Daytona with 1 years license and ncb.
