Just got this mornings MCN and seen the article about MV releasing their triple 675cc F3!!! Basic model is about £7,500 and as it says with it's Italian looks is this gonna be the end of the 'tona??? There is only a small pic of the back end and it looks like it's got the single sided swinging arm. Can anyone find any pics of it?? Have to say I'd be tempted lol!!!
If thats it, then the front looks like a gixxer and the back looks a bit 80's. Ill be sticking with the triumph!
Oh if thats it.. then its still way behind the tona on looks... Looks a bit dated and mismatched. Theyve only gone and bodged up a GXR front end, Yammy R6 pipe, Blade mirrors... And the rear end,,, well no comment Again looks lijke a Gxr but has disolved slightly.
I agree with the comments but because it a MV it will sell. The Jap plastic buyer will be falling over themselves to get this European Gixxer. I would be tempted by the name but I'm not ready for a sportbike again after finally finding the bike that suits me 100%.
THe date on the articel was 10/09/2009....so maybe they have chaged the styling a bit. In a way it might be good as hopefully it will push Triumph to release the 1050 Daytona to stay ahead of the curve.
That's not the finished bike. The photo was in MCN a while ago. MV are using a a GSXR front end and a CBR 600 rear. The body work is also wrong. The finished bike will be much much nicer. Sorry.
Again looks like someones guess.. R6 front,,, 675 lights, Gxr rear end but an R1 can system and duke frame..
Looks better than the other one. It will sell at that price and that's what MV needs, a good cash cow. All these over £10k bikes are out of reach for normal earners. I've been looking for a 2nd bike but I'm not willing to break the bank in the process.
Hmmm....it's not the finished bike, MV are still developing it & hoping to attract investors now that HD are out of the picture...in fact, if they don't get any investors soon I seriously doubt that the bike will ever see the inside of a showroom. Oh, and it's ugly!
Surely the one thing everybody seems to be overlooking here is the fact it's Italian, and as such will break as soon as it rains! Then will give the owner continuous (and expensive) bills for random electrical faults which no MV dealer in the country can put right, and eventually the owner will become bored (or bankrupt), selling the bike to a 'collector' who will stick it in a glass case where it will then live forever and a day. Just my opinion, of course Steve
I have just bought this weeks MCN and can't find said atricle. What page. Have checked and I have definately bought August 25th issue with the Ducati 848 Evo on front. :?
