MCE Insurance

Discussion in 'General' started by Red675, Oct 20, 2015.

  1. Yeah you only lose NCB if fault is yours .

I have changed insurance every year and never lost NCB since Mce lied through their teeth.

If you have paperwork use it against them. State the time you renewed over the phone and the time online. As they would have asked for NCB for the remewal online afterwards .

They are trying to fob you off.

Simply put. Quote the year they supposedly have on file then quote the year they've missed from the policy info :) they will squirm and lie

ive just renewed my car insurance and before i got confirmation from my old insurance company my new one confirmed they had got proff off my no claims via the insurance data base so there should be a record of it
but im sure you are aware ncb is only allocated to a full years insurance if its cancelled even just a few days early you dont get that years credit

  4. Also tell them you are recording all your calls with them for your solicitor.

  5. 2 things, 1) NCD builds regardless of insurer providing it's 12 month 'annual' some insurers for a 10 month but then the discount only valid with them for the next term!

    2) you can write to them and do a 'subject access request' which makes them hand over all recordings, info on you etc. Seek legal advise about how best to tackle

Cheers guys I'm taking a day off tomorrow to try and get to the bottom of all this (or at least make sure I'm insured)

Worst comes to the worst I swap to go skippy just to get me to work on Monday!

  7. Also add a premium rate bundle to your phone contract for a few pounds (check it covers these numbers) as it will be FAR better than these phone bills.... Don't give 'us' more money than u have to!

Red stay away from these cowboys! I had car insurance with them last year, they are a bunch of useless tw$ts. They wanted to charge me God knows how much to change my driving license pass date (they didn't even ask they just made a date up) I fought them for weeks and weeks up to a couple of months and I had to talk to many managers saying I want the recorded conversations as a transcript. They thought I was going to let it go and pay the money so they threatened me with cancelling the insurance numerous times and said it would then be illegal to drive etc.

I held on in there and they waived the charge in the end because they were having to ring me and message me through email and post to threaten me so they prob paid more in all of that than me paying the charge! Needless to say I'm not with them now!

I've just had my first dealings with them mate. There was nowhere on their quotation site to put where the bikes kept if it’s at a separate address to the license holder so I put the policy down as my mums address anyway. They then came back to me when that address didn’t reflect the one on my license. Waiting to hear back what they have to say about that. I certainly won’t be paying to change it.

  14. Red have you tried bike sure?

I'm with them and for multi bike policy with 5yrs NCB TPFT is only £220

Oh and that £40 refund was what was left after paying £400 for my fully comp policy in June and cancelling in October.

4 months and I get 10% back lol
