Ok, so clearly i'm getting old, i picked up a Carphone Warehouse brochure and didn't have a clue what was what!!

So, i have a Nokia, i text, i make calls, i send pictures, simple...cost £15pm unlimited texts, 300 x network mins, free unlimited calls to o2, all my mates bar GSi on o2

Kicking and screaming i want to change it, screen is a bit small and poor, must be my age...

And i'd like to get some network action on it, like most of you...Any ideas without spending a fortune...i text a lot over 1000 every month, so i like my standard keys, not a big qwerty thing, not sure how id get on with a touch screen

    HELP!!

  6. It is when its double your current monthly line rental of £30 a month. Even the £25 amonth is more plus £120 for the phone if he has this tarrif.

I have an Ipone and have since the original came out so am all for it. However I'd be the first to admit they are not a phone to have if you want value for money.

My missus has same contract as him already £15 a month, unlimited txts and 300 mins. Stick with that and buy a nice simple paygo phone and just swap sims over. Some nice ones on the market. Will look at tonight. Unless your a real muso or like your gadgets and dont mind forking out and locking into a several year contract then yeah Iphone or HTC etc...

worth calling O2 and see what they can offer as fre upgrade or partially free. My missus got a nice phoneo out of them.

  7. ive had a nokia 5800 express music for 2 years, wouldnt be without it...brilliant phone

Hiya, thanks all for your posts, i dont mind £20-25 a month, or a 18/24month contract, im not really a gadget man, but since joining this forum, id like to have contact with the site etc...and my emails i guess would be handy to get when out...

Does that help...i like o2, works well where i live and i have never been without a signal.....

3 use T mobile 2G network, but they have the best 3G coverage in the UK.

I recently changed to them with my Iphone 4 and cant complain.

If you want 3G then 3 are pretty damn good. They do all sorts of phones you can use on the net, e mail, forums etc, that arent IPhones.

Worth checking out Tescos mate, either online or the big stores have a dedicated phone department.

Been out today and looked, think its the i phone 4.....screen is big, bright and crystal clear, seems fairly easy to use? so....have to fork out £179 then £30 per monthy for 24 months..ouch...looks the mutts though...any thoughts or problems? my mate has had 3 already...on orange...im an o2 fan.....

  17. Stick with O2 if your happy otherwise your broadband discount goes out the window and has the same effect as adding an extra £7.50 a month on to you costs. ie £37.50 a month.

Out of all the touch screen phones. The iphone is probably not the most advanced for sure however is definitely the easiest to use and will keep you busy if this is your first touchscreen smartphone.

    Cant go wrong.

  18. +1 I had a Nokia N97 which was bulky and had a crap touchscreen that you had to practically headbutt to get a reaction from. Iphone FTW!
