http://www.motorcycle.com/products/dunlop-sportmax-q3-plus-tire-review Anyone tried these on UK roads...? they look interesting.......
Dunlop says its current Sportmax Q3 is and has been the best-selling sport tire in America since its introduction four years ago. i'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT ARE WE EVEN GOING TO GET OOPS it in this country? or it it another name?
It maybe great in America.... on their straight roads..... but I was wondering if anyone has heard of them being used in the UK on twistys...?
I "think" -emphasis on think....that the Q3 was/is a tyre meant to take in all the weather variables in the US, and be a sort of road/occasional-trackday compromise....I read sommit about it a while back, but I don't remember all the details. My mate had them on his Honda and loved them...... after a bit of use there was a bit of de-lamination where the two compounds met, but it was purely cosmetic. You're probably not going to get it in the UK....you guys can make your own tyres. So there! PS. Yes....every single road in the US is straight. All of them.
The original Qualifiers and the Q2's weren't great tyres, if we don't get the Q3's over here it won't hurt. Personally I'd look no further than Sportsmart2's or M7RR's, they're both brilliant fast road tyres that can handle a bit of track time and a bit of rain equally well, but your riding may differ from mine
