Hi chaps, Long time lurker on here and I really don't post enough. Must upload some photos soon.... Anyway, hardly been using my Daytona at all, go to get out on it for a Sunday evening blast and boom.. tyre is reading 0 psi! Balls. It's a Metzler M7RR with about 4mm of tread left. I probably won't bother plugging it (if it's even possible) and will just get a new one. My front is also a Metzler with about 4/5mm tread left. Guessing I should just stick with a M7RR? 180/55/17 I only ride in the sunshine / summer on nice days and never in wet or cold - does anyone else have a better suggestion? Also, this is going to sound pretty horrendous.. but I just realised I don't even have the tool to take the rear wheel out. I've not actually had to do it before on any bike I've owned. How embarrassing... does anyone know what size 'bit' I need haha. Thanks chaps
Evening, 27mm socket for the rear, 17mm hex for the front. Can't really go wrong with the M7RRS, could go super Corsa if you want ultimate grip but they are expensive and don't last. I'd chuck a new rear m7rr in and leave the front.
Hi! I had a blow out on the rear a few weeks ago, after a lot of research I went for Metzeler Racetex K3 Interacts. £200 for the pair from Italy, free postage and came 2 days later. I've ridded ridded super corsa's for about 6 years and loved them. The K3's are just as, if not more grippy and the technology used is far superior to the corsa's, which from what I've read, are a bit outdated now!

I've ridden super corsa's for about 6 years and loved them, it's all I brought. However they are pricey and do not last long at all. Wow that was quick - thanks chaps! Have you ever had M7RR's Joss? Are those K3's more of a track tyre compared with the Metzler M7's? That is a good price for them both. A new rear is around £130 for an M7RR. But it will last me ages, lucky to do 2k a year :O!
No never tried the M7's buddy. Did look at them, but the K3's are the latest in the Metzler range. It's their new road race tyre. From what I've read the cords in the middle of the tyre are wound differently to the ones on the edge, giving more longevity in the middle whilst maintaining track grip on the edge! I've only done 50 miles of "cautious" riding, but they feel just as/more grippy than the corsa's!
id be plugging the old 1 if it can be plugged ive done over 4000 miles on my Daytona with a plug in the rear 2ct
