More infor required! Where did you hear about this? Got a link? Assumedly people who have had to shell out for RR replacements would now get a refund from Triumph if out of pocket?
I thought it was official already? Or were they doing it out of good will before because so many had failed?
yep, just rang Bill smiths then. At first he was like no, no recall told him about 675.cc an the fact people have already had theres done, took my VIN, yep recall for reg/rec and gear arm selector!!! what a nob, i shouldn't be telling him there are recalls. Thanks happysv for the post.
Has anyone had a recall for a 2007 bike. I just called M40 hughenden and got fobbed off that there was no recall. Think I will try elsewhere now.
Go to the triumph website and you can input your vin and it will tell you if there are any outstanding recalls on your bike. I've done that twice. Don't bank on the dealers to contact you.
According to www.street-triple.co.uk " recall applies upto chassis number 456776" I haven't verified this personally but it is not a date based but VIN based recall it seems.
I've just been onto my local dealer about getting my bike remapped for my new exhaust and asked about the recall - it seems something was sent through to dealers yesterday from Triumph, so they know about it. Am guessing all bike over a certain age will need the new reg-rec if the recall is "up to VIN number xx" and they started using a newer reg-rec in the more recent bikes. I guess us oldies will be getting the newer model. Destination Triumph are going to process the claim for me on mine when I go see them tomorrow.
