So the Daytona comes out the factory with Pirelli Supercorsa rubber, a great tyre but how many of you have stuck with them?

I've only just got a 675 and this is my first experience of this tyre, I have to say it's super soft and unless I turn into Marc Marquez over night I can't see how I'm gonna keep it from going square on the road??

I was having a discussion with my mate and we've come to a conclusion that on the track it would be a great tyre but it's too soft for the road?!

On my old gsxr 750 srad I was using Pirelli Diablo Stradas, a single compound tyre and whilst it's certainly a lot harder it holds the road well and hasn't lost any shape...

    What have u guys done?

  2. I've stayed off the motorway, and you may find in damp wet conditions they are known as slipperycorsa's. :)

Swap them for a set of metzeler m5 or even better m7rr. Sorted!

Yeah I think the 100 miles home on the m5 didn't help with the square effect, so you've chosen to stick with the supers then?

How soft are these metzeler tyres then?

Bridgestone t30's for me after squaring off the super corsas.
So far I have found them to be excellent.

M5's interact amazing tyre. They are great even in really wet conditions. We'll worth the cashing my honest opinion

  8. Bought my daytona from new in late March. Asked the dealer to swop out the SC's for a set of M5's at no charge. Done about 2,000 miles on 'em and they're great.

  9. I use M5's now as they are much better in all conditions, except out n out super dry conditions, although I think M5's were fitted to an S1000rr and they were hard pushed to break traction.

I think M7 are the new top dog in Metz's range now though for overall road use.

  13. Slippery corsas are a terrible tyre matey,
Best thing to do is take them off and get them posted to me!

Joking aside they are slippy in wet and a bit of a waste in the dry for normal rd riding.
If u do remove them I'd be interested in buying them.

  14. Supercorsa, I love them. they stick well and give great feeling when they are warm. They'll work in the wet, if you can get and keep them warm.

I stayed on mine during a monsoon at mallory while some riders with wets coward beneath the tower. Though they did like wandering. ;) (the video from my yoke mounted gopro was good.)

Other than the supercorsa I like racetec metzler, and pilot roads lasted well on the speed triple. Tried the diablo3 a bit and hated them.

Don't forget there are two types of Supercorsa. The track type SC compound and the stock 675 road SP compound. Very few seem to be aware of this on here and are quick to confuse them.

I am sure oem tyres are built to a price and an original factory fit super corsa sp will be different to a replacement super corsas sp. Hope that makes sense.

Find the twistys and they will soon be back in shape
In the dry they are brilliant and confidence inspiring.
They don't last very long. :( 3,500 miles is all I got out of mine before the front was worn out.
I've M5's,Ok not as confident with them as I was on SC. sp in the dry, they are great in the rain and cold

I've got the Bridgestone bt 023 sport touring things. I like them.

Well done on picking up a Daytona mate, have you put some pics up in another thread that I have missed? If not get some up, if you have please point me in said direction!

  19. I am feeling torn between Metz m5, Michelin Pilot road 3 and Pilot 2ct
