Well as much as I really hate to say this and after all I've been through, due to recant events it is looking like I'm gonna have to sell the bike.

I have pretty much exhausted all other options and I'm still not getting the results I am after, it's not gonna be until after the TT as that is booked but keep an eye out for an advert on here amongst other places.
I will be truly sad to see her go and it's gonna break my heart to do so but unfortunately it cannot be helped.
    :(

Pete I'm really gutted for you. The stresses you've been thru with that bike. I was hoping to see you were going to get an upgrade.

  4. Sad news but I think it's for the better. I've come close to doing that with how unreliable mine has been but your is at another level. Get a new one! :D

Sorry to hear that Pete, is it just the problems you've had with it / still having, or are you after more performance?

I know you'll be gutted to see it go, but maybe moving on is the best option. Good luck whatever you do buddy.

    Cheers, Dave.

Very sad news BP, can only echo what the others have said.
I just hope there will be a silver lining to this cloud of yours.

Unfortunately it's for neither of the reasons above, it's down to money, I'm trying to get a house with the misses and need all the money I can get. I'd like to think I can get another in a year or two or maybe get by without having to sell it but we will have to see. It's not looking hopeful.

I hate to say it Pete, but get the house....bikes are going nowhere, mate.....almost nine years we've been in this place, and the warm fuzzy feeling of owning your own place is still there, it's.......security, that's the best way I can describe it.

It is a buyers market in the UK currently too.
However the way things are heading that's unlikely to change anytime soon IMHO.

Always the same story Pete, you both give up almost everything for a couple of years and work like dogs to get your first place together, but Darren's right, there's nothing like closing your door to the world on your own place.

Very true but it'd be even better to close the GARAGE door of my own place having tucked my 675 safety away!

House is the key mate, but in fairness the call of two wheels will call and there are many low cost cheap options out there to get that thrill of two wheels.
So you can have your cake and eat it. I can happily confirm that the old bikes still have it in them to get that thrill that's for sure.
Good luck to you and your lady, looking forward to the invite for the house warming very soon. :)

Sad news about the Bike mate but, good luck with the house. nothing quite like it when you go to pick up the keys.

  16. Good luck with the house hunting. The first few years are the hardest but as everyone else has said you cant beat having your own door, even better is it has a garage.

If you havent got a bike by the time of the fest I am sure someone will offer a pillion

    Well an update on this:
I have negotiated to keep the bike although I have to sell my van.
So as much as I hate to sell the van, I'd rather loose that than the bike, ill get a cheep car to keep me going but there'll be no driving the bike around for events etc, ill be camping from now on!

If anyone is interested then ill stick an advert up when I get back :)

  19. Good man Pete that is epic news! :D So pleased you're keeping the bike dude!
