Get new ones luke was killing scrubs then tried a new tyre and there are wearing a lot better then any of his other scrubs
Personally I buy new now. Then you know how many heat cycles etc they've done etc and know exactly what you're getting. I run continental race attacks now. Around £220 a pair new
What do you run and where do you get yours then wobbley? How long do you need to take it easy for before you go for it on new tyres? Do you guys ever flip a rear if your wearing the right side down? Or take it to bedford lol
I use dunlop kr slicks get the from motorcycles tyres uk just fit them and go for it don't scrub in just put in warmers mine last well too done 7 days on front and 5 on rear still fill good maybe I need to push harder to use my tyres lol. I'm looking at changing them soon just coz I had a couple of little slides and I mean little but I want to try and beat luke lol
Another vote for "buy new" here mate. Fwiw I flipped my Racetecs. I ran them backwards to start with, then turned them round when they were about 2/3rds gone. I would suggest you look at that place Caspian got his new tyres from. I've used FWR (supposedly the cheapest) but his were far better priced for the same products. https://www.675.cc/675/viewtopic.php?p=304898#p304898
I may flip my racetec rear then as It still has a great profile but is just starting to get close to wear indicator on the right, I can feel the credit card coming out for some new tyres for snett though lol. I have a set of scrubs spare but they have abit of cold tearing to the right side. I want to be at my best at snett.
Just be careful with flipping rear. I know quite a few racers do it, but bear in mind you will now be putting the most worn part of the tyre on the side that is used the least, which is what you're trying to achieve so you don't waste any good side. But the problem is that now that will be the coldest side of the tyre, which you will expect to suddenly work on the odd occasion it's called for, with a well worn colder side could end up with problems. Another vote here for new and good management of warmers and pressures. I tend to get up 10 on a front and 5/6 easily on rear. Continental race attacks for us too, they're grest
I think the key to scrubs is knowing where they are coming from and trusting the supplier. I wouldn't buy from an ebay random but, would from a known source.
