Yep I've been upside down for years now and I still get it wrong lol Its nearly thrown me off a few times but I wouldn't go back to being one down again. So much easier and slicker.
One word of warning don't exit the pits standing up looking behind you to see if the track is clear and snick third but get it wrong and snick second! Nearly went over the bars doing that ....
Fair point.....it actually seems like it would be more intuitive to me..I've never got the whole "pull up to go faster" thing...pressing down, like a car accelerator pedal..seems like it would be better.
It's all so you can change up a gear when cranked over on a left hander as you will take your foot out otherwise.
