Man, had the sutures taken out of my head yesterday....I can tell you all from experience that any crap they give you about "You won't feel a thing!" is utter BS....that fecker hurt so bad I was almost in tears, and I have a decent pain threshold.
Trouble is, I usually shave my head, and had to leave it for a fortnight, and the new hair grows into the scab and the stitches and just makes things worse....it's good for when they stitch you initially, but a bit nasty when they take them out.

    Glad that's over with.

You call that painful, I got a paper cut on my little pinky this morning.

MTFU, it's a bit of string ffs mate.

If it bothers you, next time try: Distraction. :geek:
When the pain is gaining the upper hand & you feel it's beating you, you can take control by applying your own pain., A nice rusty old nail should do the trick.
    Hth.

Sounds like he's implying you need some pain so you don't notice the other pain. ;)

  5. pffft, stitches are so passé...

try having staples taken out when they've pulled half through the incision wound.

    worst

Pain? Ha! I was at my favourite Indian restaurant in Palmers Greek on Sunday. I had a Lamb Tikka, with extra onion and onion fried rice. From the side salad, I took the quarter of lemon to squeeze onto the Lamb Tikka, forgetting that I had a tiny open cut on one of my fingers, the lemon juice got in, and oh gosh, it did surprise me somewhat

I was at my favourite American restaurant the other day, and I was kinda wondering about my favourite Indian place...then I realized I don't have one, because they all suck!!

I mean seriously, does anyone ever say "Honey, let's go out and eat Ethiopian food tonight??"

    I don't think so.

I don't think I've ever been there at all?? What do you do at an Ethiopian restaurant....sit around for a month and wait for the Red Cross trucks??...and tell the waitress you're starving??

Sounds like my kind of fun.

When I mashed my foot. I had the pins just pulled out. Bit of freeze spray and the mole grips.
    It felt very weird...

Normally I would Steffy, but they were on an awkward part of my head that I couldn't see in a mirror....I've pulled a couple out since that the doctor must've missed.

Doh, I did it again last night and landed on my right (new) hip & my head.

I'd been trying to sit on a pool table for a decent shot when I slipped and fell....woke up with about 6 paramedics & firefighters standing over me...at least I won't need sutures on this, or maybe just a couple.

I can't see there being any NCD left on your medical insurance by now D41. :?

How... no, on reflection... Hope you haven't damaged anything this time.!

NCD...don't have that here, for regular plans.

The rest of them I don't worry about as they can't refuse life-threatening treatment (they can't)....they'll bill you for it, but if you throw it in the trash there's nothing they really do.

I'm skint anyway, so I don't care. So that's makes a total of 2 ambulances & 1 firetruck sent to my pool place just for me in the last two months, and 4 more elsewhere in the 6 months before that....I'm tired of ambulances...for all the money they spend on them you'd think they fit a stereo!??
