  2. Looking good Frank, are you dedicating the S1K to the track from now on?

Cheers guys, to answer a couple of questions... Lights are decals, I will dig out the link, but it was off eBay. I thought it would look less obvious when going for a road test ;)

No Matt, she is still my road bike first and track bike second, I don't do enough and ride well enough to be a full time track bike.

Hopefully when the seat unit is done it will bring it all together a bit more.

Looks great, I'm after an exhaust for me S1k. Yours looks like a slip on..? does it sound any louder than stock? as from what I've read so far you need to get rid of the big silencer/cat for any noise improvement.

Tempted to go with disconnecting the secondary butterfly valve and getting an Austin Racing Slip on... should at least have some noise difference then I would have hoped?

I know farebro has a racefit slip on can on his with a cat still and he doesn't need a baffel in for track days. It's quit funny watching the sound guy getting ready to send him away and then find it passes.

All I have is the Temi slip on, does not really make a great deal of difference on the sound as far as I can see with the baffles out. Most of the noise is suppressed by the bloody great big cat :( if I had the money I would have gone for a full on system, it would have reduced weight, space and well would have had a lot of advantages really.

However my thoughts are as follows, this is me talking myself in to reasons why I DONT need to change the exhaust system.

The bike has plenty of power - why to I need to unleash a couple more bhp for thousands of quid
It would make more noise, however this can be a pain on tracks as they are getting more and more fussy about noise. You spend all this cash only to have to make quiet and mostly likely throttle the power again.

Less likely to get grief on road riding outings, when I get the urge to ride as if I was on the Isle of Man

However all that logic will go out of have window if a full system lands on my lap, then it will be a case of I need it, it has to be fitted

  16. That looks fantastic mate, good job
