Ok...good chance I may have missed something but I know how "on it" you guys are so here go's..

    TuneECU v2.5.5 (latest installed)
My cable is Lonelec and the driver is installed (COM3)

When I try to connect the light red light flashes down the bottom right on the tune ecu screen but then eventually comes up with cant connect..."check cable and turn off/on ignition"

I've tried various combinations now of routine connection but still no luck... (Cables brand new)

I did have a small amount of grease in the bike plug but not sure this would affect it...

    Any ideas?

  2. I had this the other day bud. I basically unplugged the cable shut the program down and relaunched it worked fine.

There are other people saying you need to remove the headlight fuse for it to work properly.

Tried about 20 times now still no go....

  4. mine is sometimes dodgy like that. shut down TuneEcu, plug cable into bike then into laptop. give it a few seconds then start up TuneEcu.

is this the first time you are installing cable / connecting to TuneEcu? (if so did you read the instructions that came with the cable?)

  5. Did you install the drivers from the TuneEcu website, not the ones supplied with the cable, i think thats important.
Not sure what device your using but maybe check there are no programs running that could be using the port.
I think the headlight fuse removal is just to maintain the battery voltage while you are downloading or uploading maps, it can cause issues if it shuts down during a transfer.

I downloaded the lonelec driver from their site, tried removing light fuses and re starting the software and attaching the cable in different combinations still no joy... I read sometimes even on trickle charge it won't read. So, I'll try run the the bike for 10 then give it a go... It's all installed correctly just not reading. Should I start with a map or does it really not matter? Just read mine once connected.

  7. You need to delete the drivers that come with the cable and install the ones from TuneEcu

  8. That's not needed as I just plugged mine in and it registered and read the cable easily
