    Hi all,
sorry if this subject has been flogged to death but I cant find an answer to my particular question. The previous owner of my bike said he had the Arrow slip on mapped at a Triumph dealer. I plugged in TuneEcu today and saw that it has map: 20153. I was looking on the TuneEcu oem list for my Vin and it shows a map: 20420 and next to it is written 'replaces 20153. Is this a newer update and should I load this one up?

    Cheers!

Updated to newer map and def feels much better, feels a little bit hesitatnt when pulling away in first though, I'm guessing the ecu will adjust this over time?

I've just looked at TuneECU and map 20153 is listed as a map for the TOR can, as is the replacement map 20420, which is what you are now using.
    I'm confused. :erm:
Are the maps listed for use with BOTH the Arrow can and the TOR can, and are those listed as "for use with Arrow aftermarket exhaust" for full exhaust systems only?

Apparently the map is for any aftermarket slip on, the one that says it is for Arrow exhaust is for the full exhaust system. As Triumph had put on the 20153 for the Arrow slip on I'm guessing its the right one.

I've just done this but I haven't noticed any significant change in how the bike performs... using the compare function on tuneecu, it's showing that there's no difference at all - unless I'm not doing it right :erm:

Which map did you have and which one did you put on? I tried the compare thing but dont really know how it works, I tried with two completly differnt maps and still didnt show any dif. I've noticed that my bike is smoother with new map update and doesnt kick out as much black smoke as the previous map.

Same as you mate, had 20420 and replaced it with 20153... I initially thought the bike was running smoother but then realised it was probably just that the council had recently plugged the potholes around my area

Do you mean the other way round? 20153 has been replaced by 20420...lol
I read the instructions for comparing and I too cant see any dif, must be something there though...

better black than white :) Think it was running too rich before, my mates hated sitting behind me because they said my bike stunk lol

Oh yeah, had 20153 and replaced with 20420... :duh:

  15. dont assume triumph get it right. Friend of mine rides a daytona 955i and took it to my new favourite dealing at Gedges who told him he'd been running a speed triple map, put on by a dealer.

    Woops

Don't assume the maps replacing other maps are genuine Triumph maps. They usually are maps people have custom made.
