    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend any quality brands of equipment for changing my own tyres...so levers, bead breakers, rim protectors and wheel balancers etc...?

Also, is a dedicated bead breaker better than a combined lever/bead breaker such as the Motion Pro tyre lever/bead breaker?

I've never changed my own tyres before so any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated, even if it's "Don't do it, let a garage do it" :)

    Thx.

I bought mine off eBay.... Nikko, Neiko....sommit like that. Came with the rim protectors as well, which is something else you'll definitely want to have. And wheel-weights... which I'd recommend you tape over, just to be super-duper safe. Changing the tyres themselves isn't too difficult... getting the front wheel off was a little daunting the first time...the rear isn't too hard, but then you change them more often.

I’ve got a Max2H setup. It’s nice but at around £400+ it’s not cheap so you have to be changing tyres regularly for it to be of value.
