Missus just bought me a go pro hero for my birthday, and after my first attempt at uploading a clip I'm a bit disapppointed in the quality after exporting it from the application. I was using a free version of video pad by NCH. Any other recommendations? Any tips would be appreciated, as this was my first crack at it. Gopro studio which is free is pretty good and as BDTD (if memory serves me) recommends hit film express 4 also free. Which I have started using for something with more features. Also check the quality your actually recording in.
Just a point, (boring hat on), maybe blank out the speedo with some darker see through acrylic film, as far as I'm aware it seems that this can be used as evidence. There are numerous posts to this effect on other forums.
I highly recommend DaVinci Resolve. A professional tool made free (the paid version offers some features which you will never need/use). https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
Personally think that is pretty good footage. Just be aware of recording the speedo and putting onto the net
I was thinking about that. What is the risk in doing that? I've heard there is a transparent foil which can be applied on the speedo and the rider sees it, but not the camera. Never mind. I just saw Emma 's post.
Police can work out your speed from frame rate/timing how many road markings or lamp posts you pass in a set number of seconds. Still worth not drawing obvious attention to it though. Easiest thing is to look up how to apply a mask and track to footage. Its really simple. Lots of tutorials on YouTube. Check my Scrambler video to see what I mean on the speedo.
