What did you do to your bike today?

Discussion in 'General' started by Tony B, Apr 6, 2013.

  1. I managed to have a blow out on my R1 on the way home last night filtering past an accident on the A127 and bang nice big piece of some stupid fat whores KA straight through the rear S20R...didn't want that £170 anyway...

  2. Hank u seen to be having a lot of bad luck just recently

  3. have been for the last year or so mate must be karma for something buggered if I know what though  Ah well I'm still breathing and still able to ride my bikes so have something worth breathing in and out for :)

you can claim for that from the accident as the debrie from the crash caused your puncture

  5. Really? Didn't think that was possible mate? How do I go about that then?

  6. Surely your excess is going to be a minimum of £100 anyway, plus cost of phoning the robbing insurance companies. You may as well just get a new one :-(

  7. Yeah that's what I thought managed to score a loan from the old dear to get set of dunlop sport smarts thrown on there they're meant to be shit hot I really like the S20R's so will be interesting to see how they stack up.

I fit a new Renthal chain and sprockets to the CBR this morning:

And then as a reward for all my hard work I went on a 150 mile run out on the Daytona, over the trough of Bowland into Lancaster (great run btw, highly recommended), then onto Devil's Bridge and back home.

Got a slight talking too from a copper in an undercover 5 series. I just overtook a car in a 40 zone that was going into NSL when I saw the blue lights come on in the grille. My heart sank but got away with a talking too and promising not to do it again! Just got back as it started to rain too, result! :D

  9. In the pouring rain for 7 hours me and the mrs reconstructed my 07 Daytona from this

To this and my god has it been a long time coming. 10 months £1500 and lots of blood sweat swearing and tantrums throwing tools across the garden she's finally back to glory ready to be shipped off for sale.

We had a nice spring ride back and forth to our mechanic with my gal on her Duc to have my replacement rearsprocket fitted today and final checkup for the 2013 Pirelli Trackday at Assen.

Then loaded her in our new trailer

  17. Put the baffle in the Akro to see what difference it made and took it back out again

  18. Replaced crappy, made of cheese bolts with Dzus fasteners. It was long overdue considering that removing upper side fairing requires undoing 11 bolts.

Left the bike at home. Sat outside a pub in Westminster drinking cider.

Spent most of the day on working on the track bike, then went a bit nutty with stickers ha ha, using the ones Mick kindly gave me, left over from his TB.

Then went for a quick squirt on the S1, for a break ;)
