Took her for a MOT... Walked off, didnt realise it only took 10 mins for a bike MOT!! But passed anyway however he said I must of changed the dipped head light coz it's slightly off he said.....he said I must of put it upside down so I'll will be changing that today haha!!

speed is your friend.......it's the lorry over taking a push bike on a corner thats the killer!

    How long does it take!?
I popped off to the shop and when I got back it was done! Was pretty surprised.
    What do they check?

Just changed the head light....I think I no what he meant the wire was going into the bike where as now the bike is going down the bike to the floor....I guess thats why he said it wasn't very focused!

I mean tbh the bike has been in for quiet a bit of work this year so guessing if it was A MOT failure then triumph would of told me!!

    regarding the 10 mins mot
if you have put the bulb in upside down that should be a fail
also the bike must be logged on to the computer for a minimum period if the tester does a few tests too quick he will be pulled up for it by vosa

  8. Bit late on the uptake with this thread...But seriously, starting a thread about doing an oil and air filter change?

  9. Removed datatool alarm.
Changed sprockets & chain (requiring a trip to b&q to buy a dremel, and a seperate trip to halfords when i realised i needed a 36mm socket for the front sprocket).
New rear tyre fitted & picked up an oil filter at the same time.
    Snipped off the sidestand switch.

Oh yea well he was just a nice fella and he said that too with the fail however he said change it as soon as get home otherwise it will fail next time lol!! But I changed it like he suggested....he said the bulb was basically spurring out wider than what it should be instead of a focused beam.
As for the computer parts we'll it was a slow computer haha!! Or if thats normal then IM happy....it's MOT'ed for the next year :)

  13. fitted new mirrors, fitted new indies ( thanks ED  ), took tank off and emptied the dead fuel...got key stuck in lock, took half hour to get it out...removed old air filter and ordered new one...now gotta wait for more bits to turn up :(

Nothing on in work so seeing as the sun was out and couldn't ride it, I gave mine a good polish before it's MOT tomorrow.

Went on ride down to Hastings. Saw loads of bikes. Still think the original shape daytona is the best looking bike there is. It might not be the fastest in my hands but scorched yellow is definately the prettiest ;)
