ive been looking at replacing my chain and changing my gearing recently going from stock to minus one plus one. but there seems to be a million different chains about withtheir own selling unique selling points but im not quite sure which to go for, and what is suitable for what. its a road bike, but barely, and is used on track. sprocket wise im going with either renthal, as i have used various renthal producting the past and they have always performed for me, or afam as i hear they are good. chain wise im looking at either afam A520-8-116 - £118 did vx2 gb - £85 did 520erv3 - £149 has anyone got any feedback on these? is the vx2 being the cheapest up to the abuse on track and, 'spirited road riding'?
All will handle what u through at them and more as long as looked after, I personally have gone D.I.D previously because the Afam used to have quite wide links and I think it looks a bit naff. That's it, purely ascetic. The D.I.D is more dog bone shaped
cheers guys, ive gone for the did in the end with renthal front and rear while going down one at the front and up one on the rear
