Right up my street this subject for moaning ha ha ha... but the usual suspects have already been taken.
However this morning in the driving rain on the M3 heading south, no body wanted to pull over into the clear lane to the left of them, so we had everyone in the outside :( I tend to stay right back on the car in front (I was in the car) if I was on the bike i would not waste anytime getting past lol. But I am in the car, three to four car lengths back, would the merc pull over, no way!!! Rain has now calmed down a little, lots of spray, he speed was erratic from as low as 50 to 70, still would not pull over,, now the middle and the inside is clear, still wont pull over, I am not getting peed off... I indicate to wake him up, still nothing, we are now doing 60!!! So I am on the inside he speeds up to over a ton..What a fecking knob!
I really wanted to do as per Reds Avatar ha ha...I will not complete this story so as not to incriminate myself ;)

Put it this way the arsehole driving, was now,, if not before ! aware I was there.

I really do feel the driving standards have gone down hill, its like people dont give a rats arse what is around them, so long as they are all right jack... Same trip I got held up behind another driver, when I passed her she was looking down at her phone :( ffs! was in the outside lane of the M3... the mind boggles.
    Moan over

  3. You can not be in front of a Mercedes or any german car.

You must follow and obey the german car [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Some daft one pulled out from side road across junction infont of in-coming massive van on my right and infront if my van yesterday morning despite having seen me, then hesitated, then looked at him and pulled out half way. I slammed brakes to stop so did other van which left us both bemused as to wtf he was doing???? It was a young man in Astra car. I don't think there would have been much left if me or him only the other van driver had somewhere to go. I don't often use the horn but got some action then! It was slinging it down and into a dip in road where surface water was about 3" deep it would have made a smashing mess. The worst thing was he then followed me at a max distance of 4ft for the next few miles-I guess for chastising him, until swift, long braking near stop, saw him nearly back-end me. Maybe he thought it was game on? Maybe he had death wish, but likely he was merely hung over? Who cares, he's probably going to remove his genes soon from the pond if he carries on like that...

You still have to apply the brake if you are driving. It will release automatically though.
When you turn of the ignition then it's auto applies too.
    Same with my quasqi

  8. Re-reading this threads title, and looking at the ambient temperature in our roof of 42 C / 107 F I decided to give riding a miss today.

Is the old saying something like 'mad dogs and Englishmen (and irritant Kiwi cagers) go out in the noon day sun'.

Interesting system that Damian. Heat recovery yes? How does it work? Surely any time that your roof is hotter than your house (summertime) you don't want to recover any heat into your house (hence set temp of 14) :?

  12. HRV ventilation system cools or heats the rooms of the house as required by forcing air only one way. The readings in the picture show a cooling setting of 14 C and room temp of 26 C so with the system set to cool mode the only air that is transferred is from the house to the roof. When set to heat mode in winter the warmer air from inside the roof is only transferred in to the rooms of the house. As such it uses bugger all electricity.

Edit: Forgot to mention that as its forced air induction there is no damp effects such as condensation. Great for people suffering from allergies and poor respiratory health.

Does the supply air have cooling on it, dx coil or heat pump of some sort?
